Not the fastest, but fast enough for most applications. Durability is something that cannot be commented on, and that is true for any drive, quite frankly even one that has an excellent reputation -- such things can least for years, and such things can last for minutes. Having built a lot of computers in my day, and having used a lot of components, I would say that most, if not abused, last for years, and it has been my experience that if one knows what one is doing, there are few failures among those components. Indeed though, it does happen. The specs are covered by the other reviewers quite nicely, so I will not rehash that here. For me, this is in an external enclosure, for storage, and has thus far done fine. For what it is, what it does, and what it costs: Five Stars I am the Totally Unbiased Reviewer Dude (T.U.R.D.) and that is how I see it.

Satisfactory performance as either backup or system disk. I am using it in a portable M.2 enclosure as backup, but it should work fine as a quick system disk. Price range is comparable to other M.2 2280 drives with similar performance.

This is a great NVMe/M.2 hard drive. Even though it only has 1TB of storage, you can use a device like this to upgrade your laptop or to place into an external storage device to make it USB-C external storage. Data transfer speeds match what’s advertised, but you’ll see speeds like that on larger file transfers based on the way Windows handles file copy/move and paste - larger files always transfer faster. I’ve used this drive in two different external USB-C cases, and it’s performed very well in all of them. Overall, this is a great, inexpensive storage device that will work well for many different purposes. Sometimes, if you’re looking to save a few dollars and don’t want to pay for name-brand storage, this type of device would be the way to go. Great product.

There were no items in the package that were missing or damaged. Decent Mainstream NVMe M.2 SSD with a Realtek S5766DL controller and Intel 96-Layer QLC NAND. The Realtek S5766DL isn't going to break records, and QLC NAND isn't going to go as fast as or last as long as TLC NAND, and can be error prone. While the description states there is a cache, I did not see an external one, but it could be embedded with the controller. Anyways, I tested this with a Z590 motherboard sporting an Intel i9-11900, and placed it in a PCIE4.0x4 M.2 CPU lane (which is faster than chipset lanes), even though I know it's a PCIE3.0x4 NVMe - this was to make sure there weren't any bottlenecks during the benchmark testing. The benchmark results were: 3,243 MB/s Read 1,978 MB/s Write Temperatures stayed cool at 40C even after the benchmark. It comes with a heatsink, two thermal pads, and a screw in case you don't have one with your motherboard. This is perfect for a storage drive where you don't write very often to the NVMe SSD, as TLC NAND will be better geared towards faster writes with longer endurance. It should also make for a decent game storage drive as well. It is also faster in Read Speeds than other 1TB SSD's that I have, and I have both QLC and TLC NAND flash memory. The Realtek S5766DL controller doesn't appear to be in many NVME M.2 SSD's, but the ones it does appear in don't seem to have any issues in regards to reliability. Overall, I would recommend this product.

It's not the fastest drive out there, but it's plenty fast for most applications. As for durability, it's hard to make definitive comments—this applies to any drive, even those with excellent reputations. Some last for years, while others might fail sooner. Having built many computers and used various components, I'd say most components last a long time if they're not mistreated. In my experience, if you know what you're doing, component failures are rare. However, they do happen occasionally.
