great quality and versatile base layer
Color: Midnight Navy
Size: Medium
compared to other good quality brands like smartwool, mammut, or kuhl this base layer stands at the top in every respect: functionality, fit, comfort, construction, etc. i bought a navy blue one and used it all winter last year: no fading of color, no getting bent out of shape, and no chaffing.

It fits well and is very comfortable other than it is ever so slightly itchy. It isn't a deal breaker. Unless you have very sensitive skin it shouldn't be an issue. I will likely buy more of them. 11° here this morning and with other layers I'm as close to warm as I could be. I ordered XL.

Warm and Comfortable Out in the Cold
Color: Gritstone Hthr
Size: XX-Large
We were headed to Scotland in mid-September and outdoor sight-seeing. Did not want to take any chances on the weather. Decided to buy three shirts and three leggings. Best decision. Warm and comfy day and night.

Warm & comfortable good looks
Color: Black
Size: X-Large
Fit well, soft merino wool and a good base layer or on its own with its basic but good look. Next try their hiking socks if Amazon would stock them I’d buy more as I love them . Wear well, warn wick moisture easily and are comfortable too.

I guess anything can be called a base layer if it’s the part of clothing touching your skin. I mean that is technically correct, but when talkin’ ‘bout “base layers” you’d expect something a lil bit thicker, right? This garment was ultra thin and I get it, different thicknesses for specific temperatu
re zones, environments, activity levels, etc.. But when this is a 200 and there’s also a 250 available, this variation kinda seems pointless. I returned it for a 250.
