I have recently become a true believer in the superior qualities of merino wool as a base layer and have been trying different articles as I find them on sale. I have been wearing this one for about 2 months. I think I paid $40 for this one. I am so glad I bought 2. I can wear this for many days in a row. It does not hold on to odor at all. As a sportsman who spends a great deal of time out in the elements, layers are essential. Marino wool has no substitute for the best base you can use. On a recent trip to South Dakota these baselayers were warm and comfortable all week in 20 degrees temps as well as not stinky at the end. This is a lighter weight Icebreaker layer-170. It seems to be one to layer under other pieces. Wash it inside out & in cold water and let it air dry to help keep it's color and shape. I bought it as present for my guy who wears a lot of Icebreaker garments. If I had been able to feel the thickness of the material, I probably would not have bought this shirt. I I had purchased the same kind of style in the 260 weight and that is a durable top with good insulation. This one may be better for Spring/wear under other layers. ... show more
