I upgraded my taillights to LED for a modern look on my old car. They were hyper flashing because low voltage. The installation was easy with a multimeter. They do get hot so be careful to keep away from plastic and mount on metal for heat dispersion.

If you have hyperflash when installing LED lights these resistors work. Just I don't like using those adapters so if you can solder the resistors. What I did on my sierra I disconnected the wire harness and solder the resistors and put the wire harness back with the resistors on. The resistors do get hot so use self tap screws to hold them in place to the body. ... show more

Worked to fix my LED blinkers rapid flash. The included crimp on connectors should not be used. Instead use wire nuts and then fill them with dielectric grease. It is imperative to have good solid connections. Remember, these are LOAD resistorsโ€ฆ and any sort of LOAD suffers greatly from poor wire connections. Also remember that with LOAD, comes heat. Make sure you mount them to a solid flat point to dissipate the heat generated. I spliced with wire nuts and mounted solid to metal behind the housing. Was an easy install, only took 15 min total. Keep in mind to strip back some of the sheathing from the resistor wire as the crimp clips won't get a good enough bite on the copper. I will give updates if anything changes.

Did the trick and fixed my hyper flash after installing led turn signal bulbs. I ran the hazard lights for about five minutes and the resistors were only slightly warm, not worried about the extreme heat others mentioned.

Install was fairly easy. If you are unsure how to do it there are plenty of videos on YouTube. I would have left 5 stars but I wish they gave you longer wires so you can trim them to your desired length. But other than that I'm happy with what I got for the price they were. $9ish

I do not like this style splice. They are not environmentally sealed, and if you are off at all when you crimp you will sever your wiring. I ended up a doing a sleeved soldered Y splice. The resistors themselves work as advertised.
