My son loves it. It feels solid, and has rich sound. It deserves five stars. I would have given five stars, but the description is not 100%. It came with picks, and a manual. There was no cable or “gig bag”.

The media could not be loaded. I'm still somewhat new to playing bass, but holy heck, man this thing is awesome. But before I gush over it's beautiful appearance, nice feel, or any of it's other attributes, I want to put in a couple disclaimers that are important to take into consideration, but none of these downsides were enough to knock a star off my review. First, the bass is pretty heavy. About 8 pounds, which feels more than you think. When I bought it I put on it a regular thin guitar strap but after playing it standing up for more than 15 minutes at a time or so, my shoulder would start to hurt. I learned pretty quickly that a padded strap is a must for this thing. Also apparently the hook on the wall for it accidentally wasn't screwed into the stud so the bass tore it out of the wall. Longer screws for the donner guitar hook solved this. The heft would probably come as no shock to the experienced, but it took me by surprise. Second, it was not playable out of the box. The action(distance of the strings from the fretboard) was too high. Now I'm of the opinion that if you buy a bass, you should make adjustments to suite you, but it should at least be a little playable. I suppose that's too much to ask for at it's price point. Once again, a no-brainer if you know what you're doing, but I didn't. Setting both of those things aside, the bass is awesome. The combination of blue-black burst with gold accents is absolutely genius. It looks great in photos, even better in person. It plays really well(after adjustments) and sounds awesome. At least I think it does, still don't know too much about getting good tone. Please don't dunk on me too hard in the video I attached where I try to play Don't Stop Believin'. Great Bass for a great price. 5 stars from me! ... show more
