After a month of daily play, I strongly recommend this guitar. It's my first Ibanez and my first steel string acoustic guitar so admittedly I don't have a lot to compare it to. I am a post-beginner, having played often in my younger years, now I'm an empty nester trying to re-capture my love of playing guitar. I *almost* spent $2200 for a professional model from another brand, but since this is just a hobby for me, I came to my senses, found this guitar, and I made the right decision. Love the onboard tuner ... so convenient. I've not tried to use an acoustic amplifier yet. The tuners, the neck, the body -- everything feels well-constructed.     • Nice warm tone with crisp highs. Great value for the money!
It played great right out of the box after a quick tune. The action is a little higher than I'd like, but not uncomfortable. It will be fine until I file down the string saddle a little. The plastic nut and saddle were a little disappointing, but it still sounds great. I replaced the .12 strings with all phosphor bronze .11 gauge. Since I just got this delivered today, I have yet to try it plugged in, but it has a loud articulate sound unplugged with wonderful sustain. Great intonation and very playable all the way up the fretboard. Very happy with this purchase. ... show more

Got this for a good friend who plays in our church band with us. Fabulous tone for the price. Beautiful guitar. The fella is left handed... or I’d consider stealing it. I have three pretty expensive electric/accoustics, and this guitar tone blends in perfect. Low impedance plug is a plus. You can play anywhere without a direct box. I loved it. He loved it.     • Constant string buzz, loose electronics
I was expecting an amazing guitar. Unfortunately, it let me down. All 6 strings buzz around and past the 12 feet, with the g string being the worst. The electronics were also dangling inside the guitar when I received it. I would recommend buying something different.

This is my first acoustic guitar and I have to say it's quite nice. I love the mahogany, and the open pore look means It doesn't pick up fingerprints very easily. The only minor concern I've noticed with this guitar is that the action is quite a bit high. I'm not sure if that's just the nature of acoustic guitars, but regardless it's an easy fix and not truly a big concern. ... show more
