This guitar is worth the money but there are better options assuming you can find deeply discounted sales. I'm returning it and getting the Ibanez AW54LCE - it's a different animal and only 20 dollars more if discounted. I was okay with the build quality of the AEG50 and it has a built-in tuner and nice p/u and plays wonderfully. It has some real added value but sounds like a baby backpack acoustic to my ears. If you want a guitar that plays well for quiet practice it's great. Amped up it's fine but still sounds like a hybrid. For 350 bucks grab the upgrade...the AW54 is a gigging guitar. ... show more

For Christmas I was given a guitar. It was one of the beginners' Sawtooth dreadnaught guitars. It was a decent guitar, but certainly not something I would have wanted to go out and play. I was looking for an acoustic electric guitar and found. Now, I have a bias towards black guitars. Regardless of that, I was happy when it arrived (incredibly quickly and undamaged). Comparatively to what I had played before, thus sounded so much clearer, and overall felt so much better. The fretboard has a phenomenal feel and is one of the best features of the guitar. I haven't used the electronics of the guitar much, but for the little I have used the, everything seems to work well. Great for beginners. Awesome sound compared to my cheapo fender i started with. Tuner is a nice add. Haven't tried electric but I'm happy. The strings can sound twangy but great investment

I am currently learning to play guitar and I found the hardest thing to find is a decent left-handed guitar. I could not find one in my area due to it being such a small town. So I decided to see what Amazon had for sale. I returned my first guitar purchase from another company, it wouldn't stay in tune, and man am I glad I did. This one has a great tone and is a huge upgrade from my last guitar. The sound is wonderful, not too deep, and not too high pitched. It is a gorgeous Guitar. Even the husband was impressed by the sound and look. This girl is a keeper. It also fits perfectly into my small hands. There is a bit of a stretch on the 4th, but not enough that I can't reach. ... show more

Thinner body than my first Ibenez. Changes the tone quite a bit. Easier to play with my big belly though! Electronics work well, tuners feel sturdy. Needs a good set up. Action is good but intonation is off. I guess I'm happy with it but it is a step down from the model I had until my gtandkids broke it. I'm also not crazy about the 2 tone black front and wood tone side and back ... show more

This was my first guitar purchase, so I have very little expertise in this... but I can tell this guitar is well-built and sounds great! I've tried out a few other brands over the past few months – mainly via trying out friends' guitars, and in local stores – and this one was the one I kept coming back to. The neck seems to be a bit thinner than other models, which just feels better to me... and I like the instrument's overall lower profile (thickness), too. The built-in tuner works perfectly... and the simple sound control knobs are all I need. And most importantly: It sounds fantastic whether I'm plugged in or not. ... show more

The guitar arrived even before the expected time of delivery. It came in a big box with all the protections to avoid the guitar scratching. The guitar inside of the box was also wrapped. The box that had the guitar in was also inside of another box, which provides even more protection to it. I opened it to a completely new guitar with rich colors and brightness. I played it and the sound was beautiful, you can sense the vibrations of the metal strings and they produce a really clean sound. Thank you so much for this guitar! ... show more
