Description

The AEG, a compact body electric acoustic guitar with a slim neck has been well-accepted for its easy playability for more than two decades. Ibanez is proud to announce that the AEG series has been renewed with updated electronics and looks. The changes were based on the concept, “simple and easy control.” The AEG50L starts with a new preamp, an Ibanez AEQ-TTS. The small and simple preamp has only two control knobs, volume and shape. This at-a- glance tone control offers natural acoustic sound in the center position. It allows players to adjust the tone easily and enables them to go from low, fat and powerful tones to a bright and crispy sound while adjusting only one knob. A new easy-to-read onboard tuner with LCD(liquid crystal display) is located on the preamp. The AEG50L comes with a simplified rosette, a binding and ornamentation on the headstock. These finer details add a sharp and stylish atomosphere to the guitar. Other features include a Spruce top and a Sapele back & sides body, an Ibanez T-bar II Undersaddle pickup which equalizes the volume from each string and delivers a well-balanced signal, and special bulb- shaped Ibanez Advantage Bridge pins for easy string installation.

  • Good quality. Look good. Sounds good.
Color: Black
I bought this for my son almost a year ago. We both think it's an excellent guitar. He loves it. It sounds great when he plays. Quality is very good. No issues or complaints at all. I am going to buy an acoustic soon and plan on getting another one.

  • Great Guitar for the money
Color: Black
For Christmas I was given a guitar. It was one of the beginners' Sawtooth dreadnaught guitars. It was a decent guitar, but certainly not something I would have wanted to go out and play. I was looking for an acoustic electric guitar and found. Now, I have a bias towards black guitars. Regardless of that, I was happy when it arrived (incredibly quickly and undamaged). Comparatively to what I had played before, thus sounded so much clearer, and overall felt so much better. The fretboard has a phenomenal feel and is one of the best features of the guitar. I haven't used the electronics of the guitar much, but for the little I have used the, everything seems to work well. I you're looking for an affordable, quality, left-handed guitar, I would 100% recommend this one. ... show more

  • This is a 40 inch dream of a machine.
Color: Black
I am currently learning to play guitar and I found the hardest thing to find is a decent left-handed guitar. I could not find one in my area due to it being such a small town. So I decided to see what Amazon had for sale. I returned my first guitar purchase from another company, it wouldn't stay in tune, and man am I glad I did. This one has a great tone and is a huge upgrade from my last guitar. The sound is wonderful, not too deep, and not too high pitched. It is a gorgeous Guitar. Even the husband was impressed by the sound and look. This girl is a keeper. It also fits perfectly into my small hands. There is a bit of a stretch on the 4th, but not enough that I can't reach. ... show more

  • The photo of the bridge
Color: Black
I, too, was worried the bridge was defective, but looking at the "goodie bag" that came with the guitar. There was a second bridge in the bag, that looked just like the bridge on the guitar. So this must be something that makes the B string sound better. {?} left hand guitar

  • What a great left-handed guitar.
Color: Black
Disguise about for my grandson. It's an electrical acoustic guitar and it was an inexpensive left in 400 bucks. And uh, the sound quality is just breath. Taking it is more than I ever hope for it has the true built into it in that it is. That is a fantastic piece of equipment for the price.

  • Great Little Guitar!
Color: Black
This was my first guitar purchase, so I have very little expertise in this... but I can tell this guitar is well-built and sounds great! I've tried out a few other brands over the past few months – mainly via trying out friends' guitars, and in local stores – and this one was the one I kept coming back to. The neck seems to be a bit thinner than other models, which just feels better to me... and I like the instrument's overall lower profile (thickness), too. The built-in tuner works perfectly... and the simple sound control knobs are all I need. And most importantly: It sounds fantastic whether I'm plugged in or not. ... show more

  • Not bad at all
Color: Indigo Blue Burst
It's a pretty good guitar, it sounds a little like a toy when it's unplugged, but doesn't sound bad. It doesn't stay in tune much, but I haven't had it for a long time yet. Due to it being very light weight and compact, it doesn't have a super deep sound to it, which is part of the reason it sounds like a toy a little bit. It feels pretty quality, but it should be for the price. However, it sounds amazing plugged in. Especially when you tweak the sounds a little bit. Overall, pretty good, but do more research for guitars at this price point. But if you're a woman, or a beginner, this would be wonderful. ... show more

  • Great guitar
Color: Indigo Blue Burst
I bought this guitar for me but once my son saw it and played it he had to have it. He ‘gave’ me his fxg800c Yamaha in exchange. Which is also nice but no where near as good. This is the one you want in this price range. Playing the Yamaha takes a but more work and talent than what I have. This Ibanez made me sound like a better player when I briefly had it. I’ll probably get one for myself sooner or later. ... show more
