Features

  • Acoustic-electric Guitar with Spruce Top Sapele Back Sides
  • Walnut Fingerboard - Black High Gloss
  • Nyatoh Neck

Description

Spruce remains the most popular wood for acoustic guitar top, mainly due to its pristine tonal clarity. The small and simple preamp has only two control knobs, volume and shape. This at-a-glance tone control offers natural acoustic sound in the center position. It allows players to adjust the tone easily and enables them to go from low, fat and powerful tones to a bright and crisp sound while adjusting only one knob. A new easy-to-read onboard tuner with LCD(liquid crystal display) is located on the preamp. Sapele back and sides offer a full-bodied and warm mid-range and a bright tone. The Comfort Grip Nyatoh Neck contour provides superior playability. Rosewood fretboard provides a well-balanced solid tone with a focused mid range. These pins really are an advantage over old-fashioned pins. Advantage pins are easier to take out and easier to put in than standard pins. A special bulb-shaped end makes the pin easy to grip and also prevents the pin from being pushed in too far. Best of all, with Advantage the pin and string stay put.

    • Great Starter/Studio Guitar
Color: Indigo Blue Burst
Great and beautiful starter guitar for people who just want to strum and learn. Pickups are clean, works great with amps and effects pedals, exactly what I’ve come to expect from Ibanez.

    • It's Good for My Needs
Color: Black
I was never a great guitar player but I used to be good at improving melodies and finishes to existing songs. That was in my youth, when I played. Now that I am retiring in January, I want to relearn guitar and take a swing at composition. I am medium statured with not so big hands, so I require a quality slimline, left handed guitar, which many know are nearly impossible to find. I originally considered a Godin A6 Ultra, but the humidity here in Wyoming gets down to 0%, and I didn't want a $2,000 guitar to crack in a few months. I was going to split the difference with a Fender Acoustasonic, but they no longer make that for lefties. This Ibanez is perfect! It is slim profile, light weight, and it has a thin neck but enough frets to do the job. I don't need for it to produce performance level sound. I just want to be able to pick it up and compose without plugging it into an amp. Of course, having the ability to plug it into an amp is a plus for when I want to record. It's not the best guitar, but the sound quality is there, it is for lefties, and the price point can't be beat! ... show more

    • Clean
Color: Indigo Blue Burst
Great guitar. Exactly what I ordered and the runner had me playing in 15 minutes. The resonance is clean and full. It's not a full deep sound like a dreadnought but pretty close for its size and weight.

    • Its an Ibanez
Color: Black
Thinner body than my first Ibenez. Changes the tone quite a bit. Easier to play with my big belly though! Electronics work well, tuners feel sturdy. Needs a good set up. Action is good but intonation is off. I guess I'm happy with it but it is a step down from the model I had until my gtandkids broke it. I'm also not crazy about the 2 tone black front and wood tone side and back ... show more

    • Great Little Guitar!
Color: Black
This was my first guitar purchase, so I have very little expertise in this... but I can tell this guitar is well-built and sounds great! I've tried out a few other brands over the past few months – mainly via trying out friends' guitars, and in local stores – and this one was the one I kept coming back to. The neck seems to be a bit thinner than other models, which just feels better to me... and I like the instrument's overall lower profile (thickness), too. The built-in tuner works perfectly... and the simple sound control knobs are all I need. And most importantly: It sounds fantastic whether I'm plugged in or not. ... show more

    • This is a 40 inch dream of a machine.
Color: Black
I am currently learning to play guitar and I found the hardest thing to find is a decent left-handed guitar. I could not find one in my area due to it being such a small town. So I decided to see what Amazon had for sale. I returned my first guitar purchase from another company, it wouldn't stay in tune, and man am I glad I did. This one has a great tone and is a huge upgrade from my last guitar. The sound is wonderful, not too deep, and not too high pitched. It is a gorgeous Guitar. Even the husband was impressed by the sound and look. This girl is a keeper. It also fits perfectly into my small hands. There is a bit of a stretch on the 4th, but not enough that I can't reach. ... show more

    • Good quality. Look good. Sounds good.
Color: Black
I bought this for my son almost a year ago. We both think it's an excellent guitar. He loves it. It sounds great when he plays. Quality is very good. No issues or complaints at all. I am going to buy an acoustic soon and plan on getting another one.

    • First act has one up on this guitar
Color: Indigo Blue Burst
I have played hundreds of guitars never have I ever played one so terrible from the factory ever. 14 out of 22 frets buzz on every string it wasn't setup whatsoever I've played busted old beauty's with 1000 times the sound quality. They expect me to pay for shipping back to the factory to remedy the situation. That's not acceptable when you purchase a precision instrument and its broken they should make it right. Thanks for cementing the idea of never buying ibanez ever again. ... show more
