Description

The AEG, a compact body electric acoustic guitar with a slim neck has been well-accepted for its easy playability for more than two decades. Ibanez is proud to announce that the AEG series has been renewed with updated electronics and looks. The changes were based on the concept, “simple and easy control.” The AEG50L starts with a new preamp, an Ibanez AEQ-TTS. The small and simple preamp has only two control knobs, volume and shape. This at-a- glance tone control offers natural acoustic sound in the center position. It allows players to adjust the tone easily and enables them to go from low, fat and powerful tones to a bright and crispy sound while adjusting only one knob. A new easy-to-read onboard tuner with LCD(liquid crystal display) is located on the preamp. The AEG50L comes with a simplified rosette, a binding and ornamentation on the headstock. These finer details add a sharp and stylish atomosphere to the guitar. Other features include a Spruce top and a Sapele back & sides body, an Ibanez T-bar II Undersaddle pickup which equalizes the volume from each string and delivers a well-balanced signal, and special bulb- shaped Ibanez Advantage Bridge pins for easy string installation.

  • Good quality. Look good. Sounds good.
Color: Black
I bought this for my son almost a year ago. We both think it's an excellent guitar. He loves it. It sounds great when he plays. Quality is very good. No issues or complaints at all. I am going to buy an acoustic soon and plan on getting another one.

  • Great Guitar for the money
Color: Black
For Christmas I was given a guitar. It was one of the beginners' Sawtooth dreadnaught guitars. It was a decent guitar, but certainly not something I would have wanted to go out and play. I was looking for an acoustic electric guitar and found. Now, I have a bias towards black guitars. Regardless of that, I was happy when it arrived (incredibly quickly and undamaged). Comparatively to what I had played before, thus sounded so much clearer, and overall felt so much better. The fretboard has a phenomenal feel and is one of the best features of the guitar. I haven't used the electronics of the guitar much, but for the little I have used the, everything seems to work well. I you're looking for an affordable, quality, left-handed guitar, I would 100% recommend this one. ... show more

  • It's Good for My Needs
Color: Black
I was never a great guitar player but I used to be good at improving melodies and finishes to existing songs. That was in my youth, when I played. Now that I am retiring in January, I want to relearn guitar and take a swing at composition. I am medium statured with not so big hands, so I require a quality slimline, left handed guitar, which many know are nearly impossible to find. I originally considered a Godin A6 Ultra, but the humidity here in Wyoming gets down to 0%, and I didn't want a $2,000 guitar to crack in a few months. I was going to split the difference with a Fender Acoustasonic, but they no longer make that for lefties. This Ibanez is perfect! It is slim profile, light weight, and it has a thin neck but enough frets to do the job. I don't need for it to produce performance level sound. I just want to be able to pick it up and compose without plugging it into an amp. Of course, having the ability to plug it into an amp is a plus for when I want to record. It's not the best guitar, but the sound quality is there, it is for lefties, and the price point can't be beat! ... show more

  • Its an Ibanez
Color: Black
Thinner body than my first Ibenez. Changes the tone quite a bit. Easier to play with my big belly though! Electronics work well, tuners feel sturdy. Needs a good set up. Action is good but intonation is off. I guess I'm happy with it but it is a step down from the model I had until my gtandkids broke it. I'm also not crazy about the 2 tone black front and wood tone side and back ... show more

  • This is a 40 inch dream of a machine.
Color: Black
I am currently learning to play guitar and I found the hardest thing to find is a decent left-handed guitar. I could not find one in my area due to it being such a small town. So I decided to see what Amazon had for sale. I returned my first guitar purchase from another company, it wouldn't stay in tune, and man am I glad I did. This one has a great tone and is a huge upgrade from my last guitar. The sound is wonderful, not too deep, and not too high pitched. It is a gorgeous Guitar. Even the husband was impressed by the sound and look. This girl is a keeper. It also fits perfectly into my small hands. There is a bit of a stretch on the 4th, but not enough that I can't reach. ... show more
