  • Worth every penny
If you are on the fence thinking about buying this, buy it. I just got mine, put some love into the string wrap on the strings that came with it, tuned it, and I am thoroughly impressed. For new guitar players give the strings time to stretch you will re tune it for a couple weeks most likely, that is any new strings as they stretch out. This guitar sounds great, and it arrived in Perfect condition, it looks amazing. ... show more

  • Great little CLASSICAL guitar.
Excellent. I am writing this review for many reasons. First, there are very, very few reviews currently. Additionally, the reviews are not super specific so my choice to purchase this guitar was more a leap of faith due to the brand. I was debating between this and the Yamaha of similar cost. I've owned a Yamaha acoustic before that I really loved. From the reviews on the Yamaha classical guitar, I'd say this Ibanez guitar may be superior. Firstly, it does have a truss rod. It seems the Yamaha may not. This is helpful for someone who KNOWS how to adjust one. It will ensure playability for years. Also, the head did come in a beautiful brown color and not the red as shown. I was happy about this too! Ibanez is known for "fast necks" and low action. This guitar is that for certain. I doubt I will adjust the action at all. It sounds great and has no fret buzz unless you play very hard. It is easier to play than my Fender acoustic . Even the strings it came with sound great. If you don't think so, perhaps you aren't the guitarist you may think you are. .. Arpeggios and sweeps are easy. Barre chords are super easy. Scales are a breeze. The neck is wide because a classical guitar is supposed to be that way. The guitar is very lightweight. It almost seems like a toy until you play it. Overall, I think this guitar is really a value. I'd buy again and recommend to others. ... show more

  • Great value for the price.
I absolutely love this guitar. It sounds great, and is pretty decently made. I am experienced in guitar but this was my first classical style and I was very happy. The guitar came with more then a few visual defects but I don’t mind.

  • Love my new GA3
Considering its affordable price, I expected to receive a guitar that I would be "settling for", but as it turned out, I was delighted. I'm quite pleased with my new Ibanez GA3. It feels solid, well-constructed, very comfortable in my hands. I can sense precision in its construction and it sounds wonderful. It's a joy to play. It's also attractive. I expected to find flaws here and there, but there were none. I found it playable right out-of-the-box. I was expecting to have to make some adjustments to the guitar as well as replace the included strings, but was very pleased/surprised to find that it required nothing more than a tuning. I would recommend an Ibanez GA3 to anyone who is either new to the guitar or on a budget and looking for a quality instrument at an affordable price. A definite 5 stars. ... show more

  • Very good value for the price.
years ago I had a classical Guitar which I lost in a fire. It was full size with nylon strings. It tuned easily and held it's tune quite well.It had a very nice full sound. I was never a really accomplished player but have a good ear and was pretty accomplished on wind instruments. It has been very hard to find an affordable guitar of comparable quality. This one really fit the bill. Has a very nice sound and is so similar to the one I ha years ago. I've forgotten most chords and pretty much have to relearn to play it. The wide neck and frets may be slightly more difficult for most beginnes, but was what I was looking for as I have large fingers. The strings it came with are OK so far and I will wait until I get back into playing better befoer I decide if I need to change them, they're fine for practice. Overall I think this guitar is a fantastic value for the price. I hope this is helpful. If you're an adult looking for an affordable guitar to play for pleasure, at any level of expertise, I highly recommend this one. ... show more

  • Extremely satisfied
When I purchased a 100 dollar guitar, I expected to honestly get 100 dollars in guitar. I expected to have to do a lot of little things to make it even functional, let alone pleasant. I had to do exactly none of those things. Ibanez has somehow found a way to deliver a very decent guitar at a price point I can only marvel at. Minor quibbles only, the action is a little high, so you may wish to be prepared to file and or sand down the bridge nut. The tuning assembly is a little stiff. Couldn't quite give it five stars on the craftsmanship, but I promise you I wanted to. The only issues I had at all are so tremendously minor that it would feel nitpicky even among well seasoned guitarists. This is a perfectly competent instrument. ... show more

  • Decent with minor cosmetic damages
I got the guitar today, it was expected to arrive 9/11-9/13 but glad Sam Ash sent this much earlier. Box/packaging was great. It came with an outer big box and the Ibanez box in it with alot of bubble wraps 5 stars for packaging). It was easy to unbox and the guitar came with its own allen wrench to adjust the truss rod (no adjustments were needed). The guitar was tuned already, which was great. The guitar looks good, glossy and there is quiet a weight on it. Kind of expected for its price. Strings are not the best but it is still decent and you can stick with it if you choose to. The only downside reason why its 4 stars is because at the back of the guitar, there were some small chipped area. Its only minor, its not cracked or any, i can live with it, but i think most would want to request for an exchange item. All in all for the price, it is decent. Reason why i am not gonna bother requesting an exchange is because i bought this guitar in mind that its gonna be the guitar that im fine my friends will use and accidentally bump it on a table or something. So im fine with the small cosmetic defects. ... show more
