  • Great bass for the price!
Color: Mahogany Oil
Haven't had a chance to REALLY dive into it yet but so far it's a great bass. Frets and neck are nice and smooth. Strings are serviceable until you can snag some new ones and it's surprisingly light too. My only complaint was I had to adjust the heck out of the truss rod. The strings were resting on the frets all the way to the 8th. Other than that, for the price, I'm more than satisfied! Edit: After playing it for a few weeks I have a few more minor complaints. The nut was unfinished and ended up putting a little cut on my index finger when I was noodling around. Easy fix with a small file. Also, no matter how I adjust the tone on the bass or my amps it doesn't seem to want to pick up the higher notes very well. You can definitely hear them the lower notes are just a little overpowering in comparison. Still definitely worth it considering it was under $200. ... show more

  • Fantastic bass for the price
Color: Black
Sounds fantastic. This is a really light bass and is very easy to play. Minimal adjustments needed, just like any guitar or bass due to humidity and heat changes during shipping. If the factory has different humidity than your place, then the wood has to either expand or contract a little. This changes tuning and should be adjusted. You simply will not find a better bass at this price. ... show more

  • It’s not a Ritten Royal Flora Aurum
Color: Mahogany Oil
This bass is set up pretty good right out of the package I only needed to raise the bridge slightly. Such a nice sounding instrument for the money! Very beautiful wood. I like that it isn’t glossy. I also like only having the one pickup. I threw a set of flat wound strings on and I haven’t put it down for any of my other bass guitars! On a side note, the few people talking about fret buzz haven’t set it up correctly. Either raising the bridge slightly or adjusting the truss rod will eliminate any buzzing. Some guitars that are brand new will need massive or minimum set up right out of the box brand new. Any music store can do it for a small fee if you aren’t comfortable doing it yourself. ... show more

  • Great bass for the money!
Color: Mahogany Oil
I have never purchased an instrument online before, and was VERY hesitant to do so this time. It is always a good idea to get a feel for the instrument first, but, as I was already familiar with the Ibanez feel and brand, and needed a convenient way to get a bass guitar, I went for it. To my surprise, nothing was damaged in delivery and the packaging was fantastic! It was QA inspected and setup prior to shipping as well with the tag to prove it. I've been jamming on this bass now for a few weeks and no issues at all. It sounds really good, except for some fret buzzing which does knock off one star. For $200 this is a great bass from Ibanez. ... show more

  • Great value, easiest to play for beginners.
Color: Mahogany Oil
First off, it looks gorgeous. The body is not polished which makes it look rustic and the wood's color and pattern makes it look uniquely yours. The neck is not as dark as in the displayed picture but that's not a bad thing. The sound itself is great. I have the Yamaha trbx174 too and this sounds deeper, willowy and richer. The E string in particular sounds incredible, but that might have something to do with the humbucker pickup. The action is really low, which makes it easier for beginners. The body is small and the instrument is quite light, relatively. I wish this was the instrument I had started learning bass with. ... show more

  • Excellent craftsmanship and value for the price
Color: Mahogany Oil
Ibanez gave this bass excellent attention to detail considering it's low price. The body has a warm, beautiful satin finish, and the materials, tuning pins, etc. are of excellent quality for the price. Great practice instrument that's easy and fun to play, with a clean, consistent sound quality throughout its entire range. Manual gives easy instructions on fine adjustments to set string height to optimum playability without any buzzing. ... show more

  • Awesome bass
Color: Mahogany Oil
This bass is awesome! I got it used because it was cheaper but it seems like whomever “used” it basically took it out of the box and then sent it back. The sound is noticeably better in my opinion than the Squier PB I was using before this (granted, a somewhat damaged one used for lessons). My only complaint is I had to raise the bridge much higher than I would’ve liked to in order to get rid of fret buzz, but thats just my personal preference. ... show more
