  • Amazing sound/heavy
I've been playing for 27 years, this isn't a beginner's guitar. If you know better than me good for you. If you don't have Luther experience, you probably need to give this to someone who does. I own 7 electric and one acoustic all are high dollar. I own at least 400.00 specialized tools. The frets on this guitar needed t.l.c. The sharpest ends I have ever bought. Like super sharp, tops needed polishing from some adhesive. No big deal,if you have the tools. The action was nice and low, the pickups/sound is amazing, playablity that's up to you. I really appreciate the neck smother than expected. Give the guitar at least 12-24 hours to adjust from the shipping. In order to tune the nut/ locking is an extra step from standard bone. The tremelo is absolutely amazing, fine tuning from the finger screws on the tremelo, great addition to an instrument. Value yes, just to buy the tremelo is 180-200.00. I don't own a scale to weight this but I can tell you compared to my other ones, heavy. Ash is a hard wood. Any resonance the comes from the vibration of the strings gets PUSHED into the pickups. 99%of the tone is generated from the pickups, and relationship to and from the AMPLIFIER. Feedback from amplifier to guitar and back. ... show more

  • Love this guitar
It came in a well constructed box and was undamaged. The tuning was easy off and I tried tuning it myself, before bringing it to a local guitar repair place for a full setup. Now it ROCKS!

  • not worth it
the wiring shocks the wrist, the pickups are shallow and tingy. and over all not worthy of being in the rg4 series maybe a rg100 at best

  • Not for beginners or most amateurs
Great guitar, not for beginners tho. Guitar out of the box is not set up and takes ALOT of fine tuning and adjustment to get right. Awesome quality and performance. Neck cuts like a knife slick as owl shit will make you orgasm metal from your finger tips and shoot lighting from your horns cause this guitar sells your soul to Satan for wicked fast shredability and drops panties like a Camaro an a mullet with some keystone. ... show more

This guitar was not very well set up to my liking (high string action) but the tones are amazing. The neck is smooth and fast and it can take a good pounding. The paint work is awesome.
