  • Love this guitar
It came in a well constructed box and was undamaged. The tuning was easy off and I tried tuning it myself, before bringing it to a local guitar repair place for a full setup. Now it ROCKS!

  • not worth it
the wiring shocks the wrist, the pickups are shallow and tingy. and over all not worthy of being in the rg4 series maybe a rg100 at best

  • Not for beginners or most amateurs
Great guitar, not for beginners tho. Guitar out of the box is not set up and takes ALOT of fine tuning and adjustment to get right. Awesome quality and performance. Neck cuts like a knife slick as owl shit will make you orgasm metal from your finger tips and shoot lighting from your horns cause this guitar sells your soul to Satan for wicked fast shredability and drops panties like a Camaro an a mullet with some keystone. ... show more

This guitar was not very well set up to my liking (high string action) but the tones are amazing. The neck is smooth and fast and it can take a good pounding. The paint work is awesome.

  • Excellent guitar for the Money
I've owned tons of prestige RG's and bought my first RG 550 and 570s in the 80's so I'm no stranger to Ibanez guitars over the past 30+ years. What attracted me to this 470AHM was the Ash body in the classic H-S-M combination. And not just and ASH but a nice a resonant piece of wood that sounds great and gives these instruments some sonic character. This is my first Made in Indonesia guitar but they CNC the body and neck as good as any other country these days. Finish is excellent. Noobs to floating Floyd rose Trems will have difficulty setting this guitar up but take the time to learn the small details on how to do this properly. Out of the box, this RG is ready to gig or record but I did upgrade my Tremelo to a Machined Japanese Gotoh unit in Cosmo and swapped the pickups out to Duncan's,,,,,just my preference. This is a buy. ... show more
