Appearance They appear to be all intact, not crushed, the bag isn’t mostly bug dust like some others. They don’t stink like some freeze dried bugs I’ve tried in the past. They look good! Bought these for my chickens. Ordered the 5 pound box. Thankfully my chickens love them! I didn’t notice any bad smell when I opened the plastic bag. The larvae appeared whole I was a bit disappointed that the plastic bag isn’t resealable but I will make do with a plastic container to help keep them fresh. I think they are worth the money that I paid for them and would buy again ... show more

These are even more popular than meal worms. Great price comparatively also. If my chickens even have an inkling I’ve got these in my hand they literally attack me. Works great for getting them to do things they don’t like, like going to bed early.

The first 3 days my chickens wouldn't touch the words, they'd gotten very comfortable with the dried mealworms I had and I was afraid I had 5 lbs of dried worms and nothing to use them for. But pretty suddenly on day 4, they decided they liked them and absolutely wanted to fight over them. So I'm super relieved, since now I have a good source of protein (despite having a good pullet mix, feather eating and plucking was an issue I could *not* get on top of) and calcium. They're letting their own feathers grow back, seem less frustrated picking through their food mix and my pullet's first egg had a good thick shell. I'm extremely pleased with these worms, and a half-cup across 5 bantam-sized hens is going to make sure this box lasts a good long time. ... show more
