    • Beautiful, But Bust Will Affect the Way the Dress Fits on Different People
Size: X-Large Color: Blue
I bought this dress in the blue color, and it's a beautiful, vibrant blue - perfect for summer. I love so many things about this dress but not the way it looked on me. The fabric is nice. The dress seems to be well-constructed. It's comfortable in warmer weather. It has pockets! But it just didn't fit me as well as I would have liked because of how the rib knit bodice (the top part of the dress) fit. I bought the XL because that's the size I usually buy for tops so they aren't super clingy but still fit (40C), and it was what Amazon recommended. Overall, the fit was good, but I had a bit of puckering in front close to the armpit area. I was thinking that would be an easy adjustment I could make by taking in the seams on the sides of the bodice. The other option was to return it for a smaller size, a Large, in this case. I didn't feel that that was the best option for me though because the other issue I had with the fit was that the part where the bodice met the skirt kept riding up adding to the puckered effect by the armholes, and changing the look of the dress to looking more like an empire style waist that just didn't look right on me. It was actually somewhere between an empire waist and regular waist look the way it landed on my body, and then the elastic in the waist at the skirt became a noticeable irritant to my skin. I wanted to love it because the color options are beautiful and it looks beautiful hanging on a hanger or on some other people. If it had fit better, I would have bought multiple colors. I feel like this is a dress where it's going to look better on people less well-endowed in the bust if you want to have more of the classic defined waist look that the dress has when shown by itself in the pictures or on very thin models. If you have a larger bust, that is going to displace or fill more of the fabric in the bodice and pull up the part of the dress where the skirt is attached which will shift the appearance of the waistline. If you like the empire style look, it might be great for you. I wanted the waistline of the skirt to land closer to my hips than my chest, so it wasn't a great look for me. This dress SHOULD NOT go in the dryer. (Read the label.) Let it hang to dry. I recommend washing it inside out. It's a beautiful dress. I love the appearance of the eyelet skirt. Not all eyelet fabric is as pretty as this. I love the color selections and the incorporation of the rib knit fabric in the design of the bodice. Rib knit fabric is usually pretty flattering and forgiving on most figures. I just wish the rib knit portion had been a little longer. This dress is a little pricier than some, even on sale, but if it fits you well, and you love it, it's probably worth the cost. 3.5 stars (due to fit and inability to machine/tumble dry) which rounds up to 4 in the Amazon ratings system. ... show more

I absolutely love everything about this dress. The waist hits at my natural waist line and goes all the way down to my ankles. For reference, I am 4' 10 " tall and weigh 96 lbs. The color is the color of the blue sky on a sunny summer day. Very well made. Machine washed and tumbled dry with no shrinkage. Doesn't even need to be ironed. The dress is cute and comfortable and the wine red color is lovely. I’m not happy with where the bodice seam falls - it is too high to sit at the waist. I’m on the short side at 5’3 1/2” and am roughly a size 8 or 10 with a moderate size bust. I don’t have a long torso. But wow, I love this dress!!!! I paired the black one with some cute wedges and I felt soooo pretty. My husband kept telling me how pretty I looked. It’s lined and not see through. Fits true to size.
