I bought this in Dec 2021 (almost 3 years ago) and the case was great for the body of the phone except for the camera (the back camera window covers fell apart). The first chipping happened within 6 months after case purchase. my iPhone 13 pro max is not even 3 years old and in otherwise perfect condition. EDITED less than 3 months latter…5 stars to 1… This case has turned brown around the edges. I am a clean person, and the phone is either with me or in my clean purse. All of the edges are brown and disgusting. I tried to clean it but nothing works. It makes me sad because I really liked it at first, but I definitely wouldn’t recommend it in this color. The black would probably be fantastic, as it does protect the phone. But I can’t use it when it looks like this. It took me weeks to figure out exactly what case I was going to buy. I always like the ones that cover the face of the phone because they offer such great protection and I’ve never cracked phone with this kind of case, but my previous case’s manufacturer doesn’t make them for this phone. All of that research was definitely worth it! I’ve dropped my phone in this case several times and it hit the floor with both the front and the back from 3-4 feet and I haven’t got any scratches or cracks. It looks good on the phone and I like it so much I bought one for my husband’s phone too. (Mine’s blue for my blue phone, his is black for the graphite-both look great) Can’t beat the price either. The one drawback is that they say it doesn’t work with MagSafe. That’s ok with me, I’m waiting to jump on that bandwagon until the prices for everything come down anyway. I had the iPhone 11 Pro Max case in the same color (green) for two years. It survived drops, accidental throws, and being handled by children. The phone was still in perfect condition when I upgraded to the 13 pro max and I couldn’t of bought another brand and had peace of mind like I do with this brand. I’m rough on phones. I normally break multiple phones of the same generation, but that’s not the case when using these cases. I know I haven’t become less clumsy, so it really is the case. So far loving the 13 pro max, it’s stood up to drops and prolonged sitting on a metal bench with it in my back pocket so far. NOT as good quality as the 11 pro max. My wear and tear hasn’t changed, yet my camera lenses are ALL three broken. The edge that encases it isn’t deep enough to protect the cameras like the 11 pro max was. To fix this issue was 1/3 the price of a new phone. Get a better case. ... show more
