We LOVE your dog food! After numerous years of our dog being on expensive prescriptions, prescription dog food, for his food allergies, we finally found THE RIGHT ONE. Ed has serious food allergies, no matter the flavor, brand, even some prescription dog food,Ed would break out in a blistering red rash all over his belly. He was on and off Apoquel for 3 years while we tried everything under the sun to figure out what he could tolerate and not break out from. Found our new dog food! We were using a limited ingredient food, thinking it was healthy, but when we looked more closely at the ingredients we realized they actually weren't that great. Tried another brand, Acana, which had excellent ingredients, but availability was inconsistent and it was expensive, so I did some research to see what else was out there and considered the best. I narrowed it down to this and one or two others that I saw recommended, and chose this one, both because the ingredients were good and because it had prebiotics and probiotics included. I also read reviews and liked what I read for the most part. The 11 lb bag also happened to cost about the same as 5 lbs of Acana, so nice bonus. Well, I mixed some in with the limited ingredient food (we had an issue reordering the Acana in time and my husband picked up a bag of the old kind when they ran out because they have it at the local Petco) and my dogs actually picked this out and left pieces of the L.I.D. scattered over the floor! They love it, I feel good about the ingredients, very happy with this product, subscribed so we never run out! We have a Chihuahua and a Maltipoo, both very small dogs. Note: I got the lamb kind, even though they love fish, because the fish formula contains canola oil which I don't want to feed them, so be aware if you avoid it too. Why they didn't use fish oil I'm not sure, the lamb uses chicken fat which is natural and much better for them. ... show more

I know vets often encourage us to stay off "boutique" food brands but this one is great. simple packaging to keep prices low, i would say pretty equivalent to the Wholesome brand but for a lower price tag. Also love that you can order it on amazon thru subscribe and save, it always comes on time.

I've been breeding and showing dogs for over Fourty years and have used other brands of dog food during this time. In 2005 I became very involved with a new breed of dog from Gernan ( the Biewer ) . This breed tends to be sensitive to different kibbles. I started feeding I and love and you for over 6 years ago and they've NEVER had an issue with you kibble. For 40 years I've made my own raw dog food and your kibble is just what I was looking to complete their diet. I use my raw mixture for the top dressing of their kibble. ... show more

I started shopping around for new dog foods after noticing a pattern in my dog's behavior. Multiple times a day for many weeks she would wait by the door so she could go outside and eat grass (to induce vomiting). She only vomited every now and again, but she reeeeally wanted that grass. She also had very frequent and awful gas. Eating her food (which at the time was the highly reviewed "Taste of the Wild Roasted Bison & Venison") was a chore; it wouldn't be unusual for her to skip a meal. After gradually switching her over to "I and love and you Naked Essentials," a few things have changed. She actually eats and enjoys her food twice a day, she has significantly less gas, and she hasn't eaten grass in the time we've switched her, which is approximately one month! To go from every day, 3-4 times a day darting straight for the grass, to not at all, makes me so happy. I'm glad this brand works for my dog's tummy. Side note: I don't think it's fair to give a dog food 1-star solely because your dog is picky. I trust their ingredients, love that they don't use fillers, and it's made a positive difference in my dog. I'm happy! The only thing I would change is the price. With her old dog food, I got 30 pounds for a cheaper price than this 23 pound option. But I guess you get what you pay for! ... show more

Our puppy loved this food! It was recommended to us as a great, healthy dog food option. My uncle and grandma use this for their dogs as well! It was soft and breakable enough for our puppy to eat, and she still loved it as she was older! No issues with diarrhea, digestion, or anything like that, even when first swapping her over to it at 10 weeks old. It has the usual strong dog food smell in bag, but fine in smaller portions. She was crazy for it! Would definitely recommend to any other pet owners! ... show more
