It covered up my third brake light, but like it very much. And it does work with vinyl bed cover, looks very nice I also changed the rear glass to tinted. Again from Amazon was good price and the appearance of 2002 dodge Dakota is an eye catcher I also added 6 lights to it , but that’s in another review. Even though I’m still messing around with trying to find the perfect solution to the third light problem which is there. I’m giving it a high rating because it looks so bad ass on that old truck. I’ve ordered a new black-mate rear bumper for it, the restoration is nearly complete. I was pondering what another rack turned backwards and mounted in rear of bed would look like with some rear facing lights, for those folks that want to have their brights on behind you! Looks great on the truck especially with the light installed, this bar fits for every full size truck and it comes with two different brackets for installation, plus it sits very tight and this does not interfere with the third brake light, love it 👍🏼

Let me tell you. The sucker took me 2 hours to put on. All the screws don’t scree well to hold the bolts in place. A default to me. I did have to go to Home Depot to buy some hex screws for the plates on the side because the ones that were with it got loosen and my plate almost fell away. So the bolts from Home Depot worked but I still had the jokers to loosen up also so I ended up putting some weather adhesive glue to seal and cure, so the screws won’t loosen up while driving around. And honestly majority of the screws nuts didn’t work. You will likely end up running to your hardware store…But all in all, it came out nice.

I really took a chance on this product despite reading several negative reviews. I really want to like it but there’s a couple key points that I cannot overlook. Pros: instructions are top notch and very clear to understand. All parts were there and organized nicely. Cons: material is extremely cheap and flimsy. Says it fits full size trucks but it barely does. The tubing fits together and slides out to adjust for truck bed size and when put on a full size bed it has to be all the way out which barely leaves an inch of tubing inside itself so it is extremely flimsy even when tightened down. The tubing is extremely loose fit inside itself. Like it’s the incorrect size. Both the mounting brackets supplied do not work on gmc so I had to drill into my bed which most people might not want to do.

Looks nice, but not easy to put together. The top bar will not stay tight. The brass fitting are not pressed in correctly and just spin when the included bolts are screwed in.

Very happy with this product and I am a real person take your time. Read the directions reread the directions. Look at the pictures. Look at the pictures again then make your final adjustments and you will be happy. I believe so. Do it at your own risk. Don't take my word for it. Thanks

I love this and with the lights on it. Way sweet. I’m not for the name brand being on it. But, it overall looks good and the quality is very nice
