This pillow is awesome!!! I got it delivered a day early, bought extra ice packs that was recommended on here and had my stomach surgery on Thursday. Different sizes of ice packs can be used in the Velcro pouch. Put the pillow between the seat belt and my stomach and had no issues, was comfortable the whole ride home. It’s super soft and plush. And it is great for protecting my incisions from my kitties when the want to walk on my stomach. Additionally I was a bit skeptical about this product and was prepared to be disappointed for getting sucked into what I was afraid was going to be a gimmick. But after I actually used it going home after my hysterectomy, I think I might just keep it in the car permanently. It's not only really comfortable but it really does help with the pressure from the seatbelt, which helps a lot with the pain. I have another abdominal surgery coming up in a few months and this will be a lifesaver then as well. It's definitely worth it, it does help. ... show more

This little pillow was my best friend after my hysterectomy! I used it often and it was worth every penny. I used it with a gel ice pack to help with the swelling. And I used it in the car with the seatbelt, helped me so much!

My wife bought this for her post op abdominal surgery. It’s a great idea and concept however she expected a bit more for the price. By that I mean it wasn’t very fluffy to provide protection. You don’t want it too bulky understood however this was lacking a bit. Otherwise she liked the colors and the ability to put an ice pack and or heating pack inside and also the attachment to the seat belt. She has recommended this to others who are going to go through surgery. ... show more

It was difficult to tell from the photos and descriptions how large the ice pack opening was on the back of the pillow. It spans the entire length and most of the width of the pillow so it is possible to use one very large ice pack (see photos) and shift it as needed. I was concerned that using multiple small ice packs would result in them bunching up and I think this may still be the case so we plan to use the large gel ice pack as pictured. Purchased for my daughter’s upcoming hysterectomy and tried it out in the car. The fit is excellent and the comfort difference is noticeable. Give the large capacity for a wide and flat ice pack it should improve anyone’s ride home from the hospital and for post-op appointments. I wish I had this years ago after abdominal surgery. I recently had a total hysterectomy and went out for a drive for the first time. It was incredibly painful and uncomfortable. I found this pillow online and was so excited to have something like this. The pillow itself is well cushioned as well as well designed. It has a nice sturdy velcro attachment for your seatbelt and space perfectly. I appreciate the different options of print. I bought the blue stars. The material is amazing and has a pocket to hold my ice pack to my tummy. I can't wait to go out and try this in my car. I was looking for ways to make things after my hysterectomy better and this was a good find. I was able to use it after more when recovering than for my seatbelt. I would use it when I was in bed to help ease a bit of pain with an icepack and was so thankful for it. The main reason is my husband forgot the pillow when he was picking me up, but I had an icepack from the hospital that worked fine for the ride home. The nice pouch for the ice pack was easy to open and stayed closed with the Velcro with no issues. I had to have an open myomectomy, and this has been a life saver. It helped make the 30 minute ride home from the hospital more bearable. I have also kept it over my abdomen while sitting/laying down to help keep my cat from walking on me. It has also helped when I have had coughing fits to help apply soft pressure. At the time of this review, I am only one week post operation, and this has been needed and used daily at home. I plan to continue using all throughout my recovery.
