This little pillow was my best friend and constant companion after I had a total hysterectomy. Not only did I use it on the car ride home from the hospital and when I first began to drive again after surgery, but I used it daily and nightly in bed to support my sore belly and supply some support and a buffer for my incisions. Oh my goodness- this was a life saver on the way home from the hospital and during the first few weeks post c-section! It keeps the seatbelt off the incision, but it’s also great to press against the incision when going over speed bumps or a train track. Loved this pillow! Used after my surgery immediately after going to my room. The pocket fits the hospital ice pack perfectly and attaching to my seatbelt was simple! Will definitely be using this for quite some time just for an ice pack holder. Pattern is adorable.

Wasn’t sure if I actually needed this but now that I’ve used it on the ride home from the hospital I would say it is a must for abdominal surgery. It kept the seatbelt from irritating my incisions. And it’s not only practical but cute too!

My friend had a hysterectomy and this pillow was like a God send as it allowed her to get out and ride in the car. It kept the pressure off of her stomach so that she wasn’t have to hold the seatbelt to alleviate the pain.

It was difficult to tell from the photos and descriptions how large the ice pack opening was on the back of the pillow. It spans the entire length and most of the width of the pillow so it is possible to use one very large ice pack (see photos) and shift it as needed. I was concerned that using multiple small ice packs would result in them bunching up and I think this may still be the case so we plan to use the large gel ice pack as pictured. Purchased for my daughter’s upcoming hysterectomy and tried it out in the car. The fit is excellent and the comfort difference is noticeable. Give the large capacity for a wide and flat ice pack it should improve anyone’s ride home from the hospital and for post-op appointments. I wish I had this years ago after abdominal surgery.
