Ordered the XXL from the size chart. However, it fits like a another brand XL that I already own, a bit too tight. It's a long style which would make it good for anything without a spray skirt. The bottom section doesn't fold up, so using it in a sit-in kayak wouldn't work well as the spray skirt would have to be fitted under the pfd and would also push the pfd up. I can use this with my OC2 but not with my sea kayak. The zipper is a large YKK nylon and the 2 adjustable straps are large with large snap buckles. The foam flotation is soft and pliable making it a comfortable wear (if not too tight). It has a 70 Coast Guard flotation rating which corresponds to a Type III on the old Coast Guard rating. This means it's good for calm water with rescue being close by and has no ability to turn an unconscious person face up. It gives up higher flotation & stability (the 100 or 150 ratings) for comfort and wearability. I like this safety device except it's a bit too snug and they don't have XXXL. 4-stars - runs small on the one I got.

This PFD is made with a nice material that doesn’t feel bad against your skin unlike other PFDs I’ve used. The zipper is solid and the buckles aren’t cheaply made. Sizing, it ran a little small compared to other PFDs. I’d recommend ordering one size larger.

Hyperlite has been a brand I've trusted for years. My old roommate was a competitive wakeboarder, and he swore by them. I am no wake order, but I do enjoy a weekend out on the water paddle boarding. Even though these are rated for more aggressive water sports, I've always favored the zip up style, fit, and added protection that these offer. One of the great things about these hyperlite jackets is that they're not overly ostentatious in their graphics. I appreciate that they have a more classic appeal and slightly more conservative styling. They look great and fit great. On the topic of fit, I appreciate that they, unlike some brands, stick to one size per vest, rather than trying to combine to sizes with one. This lets you get a much more accurate and comfortable fit right out of the box without having to struggle with the straps too much. The build quality is top-notch as you'd expect, and these should last many summers to come. I've always enjoyed hyperlite products, and this is no exception. It's a great quality life jacket with all the protection you'll ever need. Best of all, it's priced affordably, so even non-competitive fans of water sports like myself can enjoy top tier equipment.

I got this along with the women’s version for my wife. We both love them! Very comfortable and light weight. Top quality rugged materials used to make them and the sizing was perfect. Definitely worth the money imo.. the looks are nice and sporty as well and don’t feel scratchy on bare skin!

Besides the nice look, the material and feel of the vest is excellent. I’m 5’5” and ordered the size Small and I think it fits me perfectly. Although I do think it runs a bit long from top to bottom, I will mostly be using this for stand up paddle boarding. But if you’re panning to use this on seated activities, it might sit up high to your neck. I would recommend this product to anyone.
