My boys both swim, and swim well. We’ve had them in lessons since they were infants. But with an upcoming trip to the Dominican Republic I was worried. The resort had a lazy river, which can be intimidating if you can’t touch the bottom, and we were going to be in the ocean a ton. I thought that buying them good lifejackets that they could just wear while they played around the water would be a smart way to counter some of the danger I could not yet evaluate. What I was not prepared for was how much those lifejackets allowed us all to relax and have more fun. It allowed me to let the boys play a little harder, it allowed me to read a book while they played, it allowed me to know that no matter what, their heads would be above water and that would give us a much wider margin to solve any problems they might encounter. These Hyperlite jackets delivered!! Not only were they comfortable enough to wear an entire day, they also allowed me to easily see my kids in the water and out. Both of my boys (6&8) are between 50 & 55 lbs, so we were at the top end of the recommended weight. But when comparing to other jackets for larger kids, these felt more snug and the addition of the between the legs strap was a big win. The construction is top-notch with the zippers even working well in sand! Impressive build quality and soft-tough fabrics that allow all-day play. Best of all, they kept my kids faces above water, I know I’ve said that ready, but that was what I needed. Comfort and function!! Overall, these are and were amazing. I’m so thankful to have bought them and am very pleased with the experience. Do yourself a favor and buy some peace of mind for yourself and your kids, you will enjoy everything more as a result.

We love this life jacket :) it is comfortable and keeps kids afloat really well. It isn’t heavy and it is easy to forget you are wearing it. I’m not worried about anyone who is wearing it sinking. This is a great life jacket and is above the quality you would expect at this price point :)

I never skimp on safety. We go to the beach a few times a year and I never let my boys swim out deep without life vests on. I even wear one myself most of the time. Every year I read about a dad drowning while attempting to save his kids from the rip tide. I don't want to be that dad. Everything about this vest is high quality. The padding, the fabric, the zipper, the straps. I also really appreciate the included instructions that explain what this vest is designed to do. Just like different boats are designed to balance primary and secondary stability, different vests serve different purposes. It also looks fantastic. We are hoping to buy a 24' ski boat this year and this vest will look right at home on a high-end boat. I changed the brakes on my truck a while ago and paid the premium for top-of-the-line pads and rotors. A few weeks ago I almost rear-ended the car in front of me. I stopped as hard I could and was probably an inch from their rear bumper. My first thought was literally gratitude I hadn't skimped on the parts. With that value in mind, I feel similarly about this vest. You don't ever want to wonder if maybe you should have bought the best. Random tip: the beaches at Hunting Island State Park are a hidden gem in the Carolinas.

I waited a bit to see how this would turn out before just jumping into a review. It has very smooth mobility while wearing it, and it’s extremely comfortable. The material doesn’t cause chafing. Your body still has full range of movement too. It doesn’t get heavy after being in water. The sizing chart is extremely spot on, definitely order the size according to that. The jacket doesn’t retain a bunch of heat, so it won’t be too hot to wear in or out of the water. The quality is very nice, and worth the purchase if you’re looking for safety that isn’t a hassle.

I've been trying to find a good fit life jacket with head support for our 2 year old daughter and was pleased to find this. Now I feel comfortable taking her our kayaking or paddleboarding with me since this will safely help keep her face up and head above water. Very secure and strong, I was able to pick her up fairly easily with the attached handle so that is added confidence in safety.

Weight: I compared it with my another child life vest, it's not super light weight. a little heavier, but still not too heavy. Comfort: yes, it's very comfortable to wear it. (my kid wore it and didn't complain. the material and all the edges are smooth.) Quality: great. material and the sewing quality is great. Worth of the money: yes. would recommende it.
