  • Well Worth It
I highly recommend getting this product. I’ve dropped mine a four or five times and it still works fine. I did have to get a replacement because it came in too damaged to use it. Other than that. The expirence with this controller is enjoyable. I’ve used it for XBOX and pc. It works great. If you enjoy classic stuff. I highly recommend this. ... show more

  • Feels just like the original.
I got this as a gift for my brother and he hasn’t had any complaints thus far! Plus it’s got some really neat features and the shape is just like I remember from when I was younger playing with my dad! If anything goes wrong I’ll update this but so far it’s perfect!

  • Fun novelty controller. Embrace the size.
You really don't appreciate how large this thing is until you have it in your hands. I remember seeing a friend's Duke back when the Xbox was brand new, but never was startled at the size. These days the more comfortable controllers are larger, and that's reasonable because, as an adult, I can't do smaller controllers or handhelds without larger gripping surfaces. But man. This thing is massive. I got the transparent green color as I love transparent video game peripherals, and green screamed Xbox to me. I'm usually not a fan of green, but I figured it was appropriate for Xbox. I don't own an Xbox One, but got this to use on my PC mostly for Steam games and some others. It works great for them. For some games you can map the buttons. I don't get why they decided to opt for a screen display if all it does is just show the logo; it would be neat if some games could utilize it for other purposes. I expect that some modders will do so. Most of the gripping area is unnecessary; you wind up just using the upper half for the buttons. The analog triggers and the vibration feel a little cheap on mine. The triggers squeak and the rumble causes the entire shell to rattle. Otherwise, everything else feels great. The buttons have nice tactility to them, and the digital shoulders feel great. The sticks are great and feel like first-party construction. I'm not sure why the cable is detachable; you can't use this controller without it, and it probably would've been better for longevity's sake to make the cable attached with a reinforced port. It's a bit pricey for what it is; I assume most of the cost goes toward the limited screen. Still, it's a fun thing to have in the collection, especially if you're a controller junky like me. ... show more

  • Absolutely awesome.
This thing is killer, I'm a pretty big guy and I had no idea how small most controllers really were for me until I used this beast. After I got used to it, I found the placement of all the buttons to be superb including the tiny little shoulder buttons (I do wish those were bigger.) I get that most people don't have huge hands so I understand why this design originally was a flop for a lot of people, but having it be revived like this is great, I use it with my PC for games like Rocket League and it feels awesome, only giving it 4 stars because of those little shoulder buttons, because although they are in a good spot, they're too small for my liking especially considering the size of the rest of the controller. Good product and well worth the money, especially when compared to your average boring controller. ... show more

  • Your Experience May Vary...
Full disclaimer, I like this controller a lot. It's really neat to use and I will continue to use it. Now one key thing to acknowledge, your hand size matters. Do not buy this controller if you have small hands, straight up you will not be able to use it properly if your hands aren't big enough. My hands are just big enough to where I can use it without issue, if you have big hands then this controller will work well for you. Next, button placement will take some adjustment. A B X Y are now all positioned at an angle so if you come from using a standard controller to this you will fumble a bit. I'm just gonna be direct, the RB and LB buttons are placed terribly, for those with not big hands, but since the black and white buttons are both mapped to the bumpers it actually becomes better to use those buttons instead. I'll let you come to your own conclusions with the Dpad. The thumbsticks are good honestly, I hope they make a comeback. The triggers are nothing special, they're a bit heavy but not much to say besides that. This controller is called The Duke for a reason, keep in mind the weight of this controller cause it is hefty. Your hands will need some time to adjust cause this controller is from a time when the whole idea of ergonomic stuff wasn't in the front of most people's minds. So would I reccomend this controller? Yes, but only to those with hands my size and up cause any smaller and you will not enjoy it the experience at all. It is solid and well made, wouldn't pay 70 dollars for it though, wait for it to go down in price to like 50 bucks. Hope you find this helpful. ... show more

  • Still looking for the best controller for big hands.
The controller is well made and has no functionality issues. I really wanted to like it because of it's large size. Regular sized controllers feel too small and are uncomfortable. This was an improvement in that area. The placement of the bumper buttons is not good at all, as they are too far up. I can't get used to the regular button placement either even though ergonomically they make sense. It's hard to knock it for that since it is supposed to be an accurate recreation of another controller. Seems a little excessively heavy, though that does make it feel very solid. ... show more

  • Big chonkers
Owned the original Xbox, and I must admit, I got very nostalgic playing with this controller. This is the Duke alright... in all of it's big chonkers glory. It takes a bit to get used to where your hand rests on it but otherwise it's a very comfortable controller to use. Only thing that was difficult was using the added Xbox One buttons in the center, it's a bit of a stretch for my hands and I have pretty long fingers. I was also VERY happy to know that this works perfectly with the Xbox Series X. I had no problems using the controller on the console and on PC with Xbox's cloud gaming service. Overall, no complaints, and now I get to play games with my chunky controller again! ... show more
