This thing scares me. They were not lying about the 45 mph top speed (you need a 3s battery for it, but 2s is still plenty fast). Durability is absolutely great, as long as you arent slamming it into concrete at 45 mph. Everything on it is replaceable and upgradeable, already modded mine to have a new spoiler, coilover/shocks, and new receiver and remote. Is it decently stable at speed, and can go through 3 inch grass quite well as long as you have the offroad tires it comes with installed. Battery life lasts a good 30 minutes to an hour depending on how you drive it. If you plan on running 3S packs, make sure you are careful with the throttle, it WILL flip. I recommend installing lights, as it has none from factory. Stock controller is cheap but does the job, and its easy to install a new receiver to pair a new remote, took me about 2 minutes to install mine. 9.5/10 rc car. ... show more

I bought this for my 7 year old and I'm telling you, this thing absolutely rips. I got an ARRMA Gorgon Grom to play with him and his will eat my lunch all day long. It came with 2 batteries, another set of wheels and tires, 2 bodies and a bunch of other spare parts. If you're on the fence about it, I can tell you it's 100% worth every penny. ... show more

I’m an adult just starting out in RC cars and I feel this is a very good starter car. I feel the lower speed setting has plenty of power and is a good place to start. The appearance is nice and sleek with both skins. The durability is very good as I said I’m new and run into things and wreck a lot and still holds up. The only down fall to the material it’s made of is the spoiler because it is very flimsy and broke the first time I wrecked. However it doesn’t mess with the functionality of the car.     • Just amazing little buggy. UPDATEMy 3rd Hyper Go H16Pl.
New to surface but have been flying choppers and planes for 30 years. Love this little buggies. Fast and has weight to hold it down. Well worth the money. Update- After 5 months now. I have bought 3 more now. Keep adding so my friends and I can all race together. They and I just love them. Now they are all buying the Hyper Go H16PL too. We have blast racing them around my homemade track, for hours. We are ages 30 to 60 year old kids. My 12 year old nephew can drive it like a pro. Durability is amazing. We all have cartwheeled them doing 30mph plus, on 3s batteries, and they just keep going. Worn out tires and that is it. Have not even replaced any of the generously added spare parts yet. Ran into another on the track head on at 30mph ish and dented a rim on one, but didn't even notice it and just kept racing. We have ran for hours on 3S with no heat issues. Just swap Batts and keep going. The 1st one I bought have well over 100 hours on it and on 4th set of tires, due to a lot of asphalt racing, but that is all that I have replaced on that one. Son has ran one into the SAME BOLDER at full throttle TWICE now and broke the front shock mount. 😳 had him back on the track after 5min repairs. Flying chopper, you learn what parts to keep on hand to keep the fun going when the have the time, to have the fun. Hyper Go store on Amazon seems to keep the parts in good supply with usually a 2 day shipping to my repair bench, for my home location anyway. No I am not affiliated with the company. I just got done racing with my son and my buddies for a few hour and had to rave about them. Luckily we didn't get DUIs. Cheers. If you catch my draft. LOL. ... show more

    • You'll need to upgrade 2 things, but it's worth it.
I have highly modified mine, but even right out of the box, these things are awesome. You will want to buy a steel main gear replacement, as oem is butt tier garbage metal and it WILL shread into bits and it's a real pain to clean out. This is common with entry level RCs. If you plan on bashing, i recommend buying a skid plate. I did have to cut longer screws down to size to be longer than the original screws that you would use to mount a skid plate, but that was the only major hindrance. Parts are available on aliexpress and Amazon under the name MJX 16207 followed by the part name or number from the manual. It loses 2 points for using philips screws, and for the bottom screws mounting the bumpers to the underside being so short that i had to make longer ones to mount a skid plate. I give it a 8/10 overall. It's very fast with a 3s battery, and it's pretty darn durable. With a skidplate and steel main gear, it's about as durable as my arrma trucks. ... show more

These are fast & fun intro-level RC cars... Overall, I'm very pleased with this item for the cost. I would give it more starts except for the minor breakages. But battery life seems reasonable & construction seems pretty solid-ish. I actually bought two so I can race with my kids (11 & 14)! A few cons: I bought two cars about 5-6 months apart. The controllers are different. I didn't like that the newer one has a trim knob for throttle... someone bumped it and there's no instructions on how to adjust it properly. The controllers are interchangeable though, which is kind of cool... turn on the car, then a controller, and they sync. There's no interference from one to the other. At 100% power, I wore down the main tires in an afternoon of doodling around on various pavement. Even though replacement tires can be had pretty quickly off Amazon, an hour or two seems a bit much for them to wear out. We also broke the 'ESC/REV Fix Frame" on both pretty easily... There's only two screws and when one screw hole broke (the same one on both), the speed controller can pivot and start interfering/scraping on the steering mechanism. I ordered several replacement frames direct from HyperGo... They're not expensive but they're shipping from China and it's taking awhile. ... show more
