  • Great warm bag!
Color: Mint/Tangerine Size: Short
Loved this bag for my 4 day backpacking trip. I sleep cold and finally I have a bag that keeps me nice and toasty warm for a fraction of the cost of other comparable bags. I am a side sleeper and claustrophobic so the idea of a mummy bag scared me. However, this bag is quite roomy (I bought the regular size for my 5ft 7 in 165lb body) and was able to turn over and back and forth in the night with little problem. Love this bag and am so glad I bought it! ... show more

  • Amazing for the price
Color: Black/Clementine Size: Regular
Took this bag out for a test in the garden here in iceland now in march temperatures recorded over night where around minus 6 to minus 9 degrees celcius, and i was compfortable. i was wearing thermal layering wool and warm socks . in the morning when i woke up and wanted to chill a bit longer i put on my puffy jacket for the extra compfort. for the price the bag is very good, although i cannot comment on durabiltiy yet (will probably give an update on that in the end of the summer) the compression sack could be a little more compressable but it fits like it is into my backbag (might purchase a smaller compression bag down the road.) ... show more

  • Warm and roomy for a mummy sleeping bag
We got the long size for extra wiggle room and it was perfect. Zipper opens and closes smooth and the sleeping bag is very warm. We appreciate the headspace for the pillow or to cocoon ourselves in the bag. Great purchase so far!

  • Ultra Lightweight, with goose down, but I was cold when the temperatures dropped.
Color: Blue/Lime Green Size: Short
For context, I own a competitor’s 0-degree related sleeping bag that I had used to hike in the Nepal Himalayas, but that bag is still at a friend’s in Kathmandu and was much more expensive. In planning for a May backpacking trip to the North Woods in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan, I needed an ultra lightweight tent and sleeping bag that would serve me well for unpredictable and potentially cold weather. I chose this sleeping bag from Hyke and Byke. While there were cheaper bags on Amazon that were 0-degree rated, this one caught my attention because it’s filled with goose down and its attractive styling. I liked the bright blue and lime green colors, and the mummy fit. And, I liked that it is made in the USA, and that the company is socially conscious, providing micro loans to persons in poverty. I also liked that the price point was under $200 (April, 2023). Back now from the backpacking trip, I can report that the bag served me well — but not perfectly. It is indeed lightweight which is an important consideration when backpacking. The fit was good though my personal preference would be for a bag that’s a bit less snug. Being 5’4”, I ordered the short — which is both shorter and less wide than the regular. (I compared with my husband’s regular and liked his roominess more). The bigger issue, however, was that I was cold, especially near my lower back, when the outside temperature dipped to about 30 degrees. (This was within our tent, with the bag only; no bag liner). I would not rely upon the bag for sufficient warmth at zero degrees. ... show more

  • Cold sleeper and this bag performed as promised
Color: Blue/Lime Green Size: Short
Took this on a 3 day back country hike in Yellowstone, where the temps in late September got down to the upper 20's at night. Extremely comfortable and never experienced any chill whatsoever. Great bag!!

  • Good bag for the price
This bag keeps me comfortable into the high thirty's. Low thirty's I have to add some clothing to be comfortable. Our weather never goes below the thirty's .

  • Down fill poorly distributed
Color: Blue/Lime Green Size: Regular
This had the potential to be a great bag, but is nearly useless to me. The down fill is almost non-existent on the bottom side of the bag. The fill is great on top and around the feet. But all this bag has on the bottom portion is the two layers of nylon, with a tiny clump of down here and there. And I can't get the down to shift down to the bottom to spread it out more evenly because of the stitching. So, on really cold nights (0 to 20 degrees), I freeze because there is no insulation under me. Yes, I have a ground pad for insulation, but there is nothing between my body and my ground pad. On very cold nights, that isn't enough. Luckily I tried this out first when car camping instead of backpacking, so I had a backup bag that I put under this new bag I just bought. But that does me no good when I'm backpacking and trying to keep my pack weight to a minimum. I had seen others describe a similar thing in reviews of this bag but thought I'd get lucky and get one of the good ones. I'll be looking for a real 0 degree bag elsewhere. ... show more
