I purchased my vertical hydroponic grow system three weeks ago. I choose it because at $380, it was a fraction of the cost compared to other units; and I could get it with mounted lights! I don't understand the low reviews because everything is going great for me so far. It was actually delivered a day earlier which was a huge surprise. Packaging was perfect and everything was new and sealed. Instructions for setup weren't the best, but honestly, it's pretty self explanatory. I had some 1 week old seedlings from my aerogarden ready to move in. Remember that this does not come with nutrients or seeds. The tower holds 28 plants, is sturdy and well constructed. Assembly was easy; I had to actually fight off my husband from helping me put it together because he was excited too lol. Start to finish with water and all, I'd say 45 minutes. Make sure you rinse the pieces before putting it all together. The pump is adjustable meaning you can change the intensity of the water flow and you can adjust the frequency. It's not silent but I think it's a soothing sound like a waterfall. It's definitely not loud or obnoxious. You can adjust the timer for how long the water runs and the frequency. Mine is set to run every 20 minutes for a duration of 10 minutes. I'm using this inside, so I opted for the grow lights instead of the trellis. The lights are plastic led strips that snap together and attach to the base. You don't need to worry about them breaking, and were easy to put together. There's also a timer for them for constantly on, 9hrs, 12hrs, or 15hrs. I love love love that the kit came with a hard plastic tray. I actually use it to hold my bottles of nutrients and testing supplies. And is comes with a little digital ppm reader! I didn't know what this was at first, because I'm new to this, but it reads the nutrients level in your water. This thing is awesome; I use it for all my hydroponics and kratky stuff now. It does not come with pH balancing or testing stuff. You have to get that separate along with your nutrients. The reservoir holds 8 gallons. I'm sure glad this has wheels because 8 gallons is pretty heavy. So far, I've only needed to replace about half a gallon, just to top it off, but this will vary depending on the types of plants and growth stage they're at. It's very easy to check water level and test it with the little door on top. The only negative thing about this entire setup so far, are the pods themselves. Every time I've tried to grow seedlings in them, the roots grow up and out of the pod and dry out. I'm not sure if it's because of the height of the pod or the material being too hard to penetrate through, but I haven't successfully grown any seedlings in these pods yet. Bottom line, the unit seems to be fantastic so far and at a fraction of the price as other units! I'm very happy with my purchase. If you're comparing and debating for weeks like I was, just do it. It's worth it.

I am giving it 4-stars considering the price and the fact that I am a newbie to this. This review is after 6 months of usage & one full crop cycle. Assembly:The assembly instructions are minimal, but it's easy to assemble so not an issue. Build: Quality is so-so. The lights are wobbly & wish they had a top support. The timer for auto switch off / on works fine. Although it was impossible to see what they were set at (9 hrs, 12 hrs or 15 hrs On). I had to ask the Vendor, but they replied quickly to their credit. Motor seems very cheap & not sure how long it'll last. I am already looking online to buy a spare in case I need it. The motor timer works fine, although I wish there was more control on it (e.g. being able to switch off completely for the night to give the roots more oxygen). I am running it at 50% power and that's sufficient. Experience: My first attempt to grow worked quite well (although not ideal). The crop of leafy greens came out real nice & we've been having a salad with dinner pretty much every other day. However, after 4 months, the motor filter choked on the roots / debris & stopped working. I didn't notice it for 3 days & by the time I found the issue & fixed it, all the plants had pretty much died! So, make sure you watch the filter carefully & clean it every few weeks. The access to the motor is not easy & you have to pretty much dismantle the lights & tower (take apart 75% of the components) to get the pump out & clean it. I am not sure how that can be done with a tower full of plants above. I wish there was a big lid that allowed 2-handed access to the tank / pump to remove debris, clean & reinstall the pump. There's a little opening which allows you to refill water / nutrients. Observing the water-level is a little hard & again, wish there was a bigger opening. Operation: The motor makes a light, but noticeable humming noise. The pump's noise is not an issue...but the water dripping down the tower is fairly loud. It's not possible to sleep in the same room that this is running. Nor can you watch TV or listen to music at low / moderate volumes without being disturbed. Overall: As a first experiment, I am satisfied, especially seeing the price. Long-term if you decide to really get into this hobby, a better designed & more robust system is probably what you should buy.

Been using this since Christmas and I have to say it does produce My only problem with it is that the lights do not come on by themselves we set it t for a 12 hour cycle and they will turn off but do not turn themselves on Other than having to turn the lights on every morning it works perfectly

I like the way it looked, and at the beginning it was doing well, I had the lights and everything set. It worked for about three weeks. I came down stairs yesterday, and all my plants were wilted and dead. They look like they had no water, even though the bottom was filled. I am throwing it in the garbage and getting a different kind. I feel so sad I took the time to plant all those plants and they’re all wilted.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I have not got it up and working yet well let you know how it is when I do. It did not come with a cage that I thought it would. 2 of the lights where smash but still works right know not sure how long they will last when I get it up and going. My husband has to make a cage for it and make the lights more sturdy because we fill like if someone or dogs runs into it the lights could fall and break. When checking on the cage for it it would cost $100 can not afford that on top of what I just paid. I have and grown hydroponic so I know how it works did not come with the nutrients solution which luckily I have. Lastly the instructions are not clear at all on how to put it together. So I pray when we get the cage and lights sturdy and able to plant it works they way I want it to. I picked this so I could grow bigger vegetables and more at same time like broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, and more. I Will update how I feel when its up and going and see how things grow. Where can I buy more of all accessories like grow basket and sponges and what size for this grow tower? While the Saler made things right and I got it up and running now I tried taking a photo to share and it not working for me. Things are growing so well, and I am so happy with my purchase so far. Thank you again for all you did for me and making things right by replacing 2 lights that where damage in shipping. If I every figure out how to post a photo I will. Again, think you for all your help. If I every can afford it again I would get another one.

I searched for a hydroponic tower for a long time before finally choosing this one, and it definitely did not disappoint. The packaging was very thoughtful. The installation was really simple. There are two manuals in the box—one for assembly and another for planting guidance. I followed the instructions along with the video on the product page, and it took me less than half an hour to set everything up. I set the water flow to the middle level, which works perfectly and very quiet. The system comes with eight grow light tubes, but I’m currently using four because I planted cucumbers. They are still small seedlings, and I’ll add more lights when the plants grow bigger. Overall, I’m very satisfied. The cucumber seedlings are growing very fast. Next, I plan to plant tomatoes and I’m looking forward to the harvest. Highly recommended.

The basic structure of ABS plastic snap-together parts is decent quality. And I like the larger 8 gallon tank. I did not want to spend over $700 for the name brand. That's just too high! The timers for lights and pumps both work, but we'll see for just how long before they wear out. They are not the highest quality. The way the lights mount to the tank structure is a bit on the wimpy side. There should be a ring at the top to keep them from wobbling. I don't have a light meter so cannot attest to various wave-lengths produced. Again, the lights are not top quality. But they DO work. Instructions for assembly were none existent. If you buy this, just know the first base part is supposed to screw to the tank with the longer bolts. We found this out later causing us to go backwards in progress. All in all, probably a decent starter kit and perhaps the lights, timers and pumps will outlive expectations. A 3.7 would have been my preferred score.

I was excited to try this vertical hydroponics garden tower, but the unboxing experience definitely wasn’t what I expected. The unit arrived in a standard Home Depot box, which immediately made me wonder whether it was new. Once I opened it, that suspicion grew — the tower looked like it had been used before, and a few parts were missing. Thankfully, my husband was able to improvise replacements, and none of the missing pieces ended up affecting the functionality of the system. The instructions were another challenge. The included guide was minimal and not very helpful, so we had to rely on YouTube videos to figure out both the assembly and how to operate the unit. If you’re not comfortable piecing things together on your own, this could be frustrating. One thing to keep in mind is placement. When the water is running, the tower is noticeably loud. It’s not unbearable, but it’s definitely something you’ll want to consider if you plan to keep it in a living space. Despite the rocky start, I’m still looking forward to using it. My seedlings are almost ready to be transplanted, and I’m excited to see how the system performs once everything is growing. Overall: The tower works, but the packaging, instructions, and condition of the product left a lot to be desired. If you’re handy and don’t mind troubleshooting, it can still be a solid option — just go in with realistic expectations.
