We used it at the annual River Regatta in Laughlin. They worked fine. I read some of the good and bad reviews about the oars. We didn't do any hard core rowing and we didn't go thru any raging waters.

I wish I could give 4.5 stars because that's what this is really worth. This paddle is multifunctional by having the ability to be 1 double sided paddle, or 2 short single sided paddles, or 2 long single sided paddles. It is solid enough for the price, and well worth it. The only reason I don't give a full 5 stars is because they are only slightly curved, not the full curvature of a standard high end paddle. But for the price and the rest of the positives of this paddle, the value is there. I'm a beginner recreational kayaker, but I bought a couple of kayaks off CraigsList and I ordered these paddles a second time and am planning to buy a third set. Another high point about this company is that the second pair of paddles came in with some slight damage (assuming while shipping) on the end of the paddle part. I contacted them about it and they promptly had a brand new set shipped out to me within 3 days, Friday to Monday, at no additional cost and didn't even ask for the broken set back. During the weekend I received 2 emails and one automated phone call to keep me updated on my new paddles being shipped. I have never received such thorough customer service from an order before.
