She wound up going with another brand's actual lunchbox which we loaded with ice packs and tested for 8 hours indoors (planning for a trip). It worked, cost less, and this one was too big to pack in a carry-on. For me, that's regrettable. I wanted to keep this one because of its design, quality, and beautiful "cactus" color, but it's too big for a lunchbox (unless you're packing for two: multiple meals, or for four single meals *simple) too small for a big haul of groceries. I have been looking for a hard top soft cooler. This thing is it. I swear it’s like Mary Poppins bag. I can fit so much in it for the size. It’s great value for the money. It keeps our snacks and drinks cold for hours at the pool and it’s easy to open and close. This cooler is the right blend of style and functionality. It's a sleek design and the baltic color is chef's kiss! It has a wide-mouth top opening which makes it super easy to pack and access throughout the day. The interior is surprisingly spacious so you can really pack it full without it feeling bulky when you carry it. When I was researching coolers options I quickly realized I wanted some structure to the cooler I was purchasing and this one nails it - it's a hard/soft shell so it maintains shape when it's empty and when it's really full. I’ve been using the lunchbox for a few months now and I’ve been pretty happy with it. It’s spacious, seems durable, and I love the color. However, it honestly doesn’t keep things cold very long even with the insulation so I definitely recommend picking up some Yeti Ice. The blue colors also stains really easily unfortunately. I love this cooler. I use a somewhat large salad container for my lunch each day and also bring breakfast and snacks and have previously had trouble finding us sufficiently large, but not too large, cooler. This one is perfect sized. In addition, with the ice pack, all stays nice and cold all day.
