I like most everything about the machine, I compared with other Mini Excavators in this size range and Wallemac put some extra thought into some reliability issues common to other manufacturer brands. The Digging Depth is s full foot more than most of the others in this category and the swing/articulating bucket boom was $2000 higher in most of the other Brand 1 Ton Mini's. The machine did arrive with some issues, none major and none the fault of Wallemac. Someone, somewhere in the shipping process took the protective shipping frame and plywood box off the machine and it just come on the pallet. One of the Control Arms was broken but I am a welder so it will be an easy fix until Wallemac sends me another. Some paint scratched I would have on it the first few hours of operation and the Ropes Canopy was not the one for this machine, not the one pictured in the Amazon Ad when I bought it...however I like this one better as it has the Plastic Top to keep me out of the sun. This thing started right up after checking the oil and putting some gas in it. I put a piece of pipe tubing on the control valve and the boom, bucket, swing and tram work smooth, not jerky as some of these do. Overall satisfied with this little Mini Digger and what issues I found were not the fault of the manufacture but the shipper..don't let this deter you, these things are a tank and simple to work on and 99% will probably arrive with the protective shipping frame and heavy plywood box the Manufacture shipped it in.. The free shipping more than made up for the little 5 minute repair job I will have to do on the control handle. No this is not a Kubota or Yanmar but it was close to 10K not the $45,000 or $46,000 other expensive models sell for. Perfect for a Gardener, Homestead, Farm and maintenance and repairs are simple and easy and parts are not cost prohibitive... good communication with Wallemac after the sale. I up graded from a 4 to a 5 rating after using this machine and checking it out. I did replace the original grease fittings with the U.S. style Zerk Grease fittings. I will add a couple of cooling fans to the engine bay, don't feel it's needed for typical Homestead or Farm use but since it does not have an Hydraulic Oil Cooler it's a cheap easy upgrade for added protection. I took the foot control off for the auxillary attachments until I get a thumb, more room for my feet. I changed the foot control for the /Bucket swing arm to a lever type, again it gave me more foot room and the long lever give me more precise control , motions not as quick and jerky. The best value and quality mini excavator in this price range, IMO Follow up, I did install two 7" inch cooling fans as the machine was running hot on long runs. One fan pulling air into the engine bay and one fan pushing hot air out. works great as the machine runs much cooler now.

I have three hours on the machine. I've planted trees and dug trenches with no problem. I've since ordered the narrow trenching bucket and the hydraulic tilt wide bucket and quick connect coupler. If I get about 10 jobs done with this, it will have paid for itself as compared to if I had the rent an excavator.
