Does what it says. Nice price. Comes with a very nice 3D printed case. I made a shelf out of Lego pieces that holds the back of the device. The Hydra RF so that it doesn't fall off the back and you can carry it around more securely.

This is an IMPROVED design!! This is still absolutely the best sub-GHz option for the ADV.
I'm so excited to have seen this appear on Vine for review because I am already EXTREMELY familiar with this device and was an early adopter of the auto-switching one. I have a lot of thoughts and experience using this. I see that it's a "frequently returned" item, so I'm going to probably overexplain some stuff since I think people might not be aware of how to use it since it does require some (extremely) simple setup that is explained in the including guide. I swear I don't work for these guys, I'm just a huge fan and want to see them release more products. UPGRADED DESIGN: In case you also know what this does already, I wanted to first address the revision made to the hardware that solves the only issue I had with the original board: the SMA connectors have been upgraded to be through-hole components instead of surface-mounted on the PCB. This means they'll be substantially stronger AND more repairable. You can see the difference in my photos (on the left and right ends of the board, where those 5 solder joints appear). I got my original one right after release, so it didn't even come with a case like this one does and I was too lazy to make one at first. After carrying it for several months, I must've squished it because I broke that SMA connector off. It'll normally have an antenna attached, so it was easy to torque it enough to snap the connector right off. Then, since it was surface-mounted, it was beyond my skill level to solder it back on. Not only does this one INCLUDE the case and screws, but the connectors are attached much more securely and are repairable even if it gets totally thrashed. FUNCTIONALITY: I broke it by using and abusing it all the time. The sensitivity and ease of setup makes this one of the best CC1101 modules available, especially since it can be upgraded. I used mine with the included antennas for a while, but once I upgraded them to larger (but still cheap) 2.4Ghz and 433Mhz antennas, I was getting super accurate reads. I love the M5 stuff too, but their 433Mhz R and T modules don't have external antennas. Their new one has an external antenna for CC1101 but then doesn't have 2.4Ghz. This will send signals a crazy long distance in comparison. Even the stock antennas have decent range but throwing better ones on there lets you get really far away as long as you have decent line of sight. SETUP: Setup is super easy since the instructions are literally typed out and packed up with the module. Even better is the QR code that will take you to their web flasher. When these were new, they came with a readme on how to update the brucepins file to get Bruce to see it, but now all of that is done completely automatically, it's amazing. It was pretty easy before too, but now you just connect your Cardputer to USB, select the COM port and let them flash the current version of Bruce with the pins already configured. It's insanely easy and anyone that owns a Cardputer can figure it out fast. Even better is that since this is a hat, the grove port is wide open for other modules. I was recommending this thing well before today but they've made it even better while it still costs the exact same as it did before. This plus the price of a Cardputer combined will give you most of the functionality of a Flipper for less than half the cost of one.

IT SHOULD BE REINFORCED JUST IN CASE IT FALLS ONCE AT LEAST!!
Got it if you drop it once even if you put your foot out to the ground to stop the fall it breaks easily!! I believe it's 200 side breaks off very easily!!! I ordered three of them already, and all three of them broke ! DONT WASTE UR $$

Nice radio card for the cardputer adv
Nice addition to cardputer adv running Bruce firmware. Excellent configuration instructions included on paper and on wiki. The cardputer's 14 pin expansion port is not keyed, so be sure to plug the board in the orientation shown in the photo. (I verified experimentally that it does plug in nicely in the wrong rotation, but doesn't work so well).
