I have used this numberous times on roofs and on the ground. It has held up well to the wind. I have also used it to keep the sun off me in cases. There are similar products like these sold at supply house. They are often 4 to 5 times more expensive. It is overall ease to setup and put away.

    • Nice until it broke
I bought this for my son for his birthday. He works as a big machine mechanic and is always out in the field. He loved it but it broke after only 3 uses. The part that has the magnet that connects the umbrella broke. It is only made of plastic. It would last longer if it was made of metal. Here in Florida in this very hot weather the plastic gets hot and makes it very brittle. I was able to send it back and get a replacement but i'm not sure if the new one will be any better. I am hoping it will be. I would have been nice to send a replacement for free due to it broke so fast but we will see if this one lasts. ... show more

Umbrella broke after a slight breeze blew the umbrella off a roof top. Magnetic is not very strong. So now I have garbage. Go to a supply house and buy the HVAC umbrella they sell there for $5 more
