This unit had thermometer attachments that allowed the measurement of manifolds. It helps that you have a temperature vs. psi verification. It has a zeroing function that lets you set a baseline prior to pressurization. Set it to the refrigerant type that you are measuring and it computes the relative temperature to PSI. Well worth the money considering a house call can run you $150. Gauges are easy to read and allow nighttime backlighting.

The quality is very nice, especially for the price you pay. Obviously they’re not $700 Field Piece quality, but if you’re looking for gauges and want digital then this is the way to go. The hoses are the only reason I am giving it 4 stars. One pressure test caused the Oring to blow out and leak, but I bought yellow jacket hoses and it works perfectly. They are very accurate, easy to use, and definitely handy. My third picture shows a pressure test and it is so much better than using analog gauges. It shows the start point of PSI, how long it’s been tested, where the PSI is currently at, and the change of PSI in that time. DISCLAIMER: Do not leave in direct sunlight too long. Obviously it’s an electronic so probably common sense, but I left it laying in the sun for about 15 minutes while I went inside and when I came back out my screen was completely black, lol. It did cool down and go back to normal, but now I try to put them in the shade if I’m leaving them hooked up.

This is actually a DUOYI model Y522A unit. Not sure why they blurred the labeling out in their pictures, but whatever. The main point is this is a very affordable digital gauge unit with a lot of features for the Do-It-Yourself guy who wants to work on his own home A/C. Like most of the other reviewers, I agree the hose set that comes with the kit is cheap leaky junk, but you can probably fix the leakage with some good quality seals for the ends. However, I didn't want to take the chance so I bought a really nice Uniweld EZ3HS 36 inch low-loss hose set and it worked beautifully. The only quirk I've found was that every once in a while, the gauge set would zero out the pressure readings all by itself. It was annoying, but all I did was turn the unit off and back on and the absolute pressure gauges usually showed close to what it's supposed to be. Luckily for me, I have mini-splits with electronic valves so I just charged my systems with amount listed on the labels and don't really have to use the pressures like with fixed orifice or TXV systems. The ball shutoff valves are an improvement from their previous style valves and the sight glass is also very useful so that you can see the liquid and know when to pause and when to continue when charging the low side so you're not feeding straight liquid with the compressor running. These units are great for DIY and are super budget friendly, but definitely not for professional use. If you're looking for professional grade equipment, you wouldn't be doing it on Amazon, right? LoL

Leakage from hose fittings, tried several different nylon and rubber seals, ultimately replaced hoses with O.E.M. Yellowjacket, but even that was a challenge to verify the yellow jacket hoses weren't knock offs when buying from Amazon. Tough to troubleshoot a refrigerator system when the Gauge hoses are the leaking problem!!! Amazon is becoming too much like eBay a selling a bunch of cheap S....tuff, with terriblly POOR quality!

I could not get a SC reading at all until I swapped the temp sensors over, then my readings made sense. You would think the high side temp sensor plugged into the high side of the meter and low side into low...nope.
