It is of special interest, however, that I recommend any external filter connected to this pump to be elevated above the ground level somewhat. At first, I had my filter on the ground level, which I always have, but the pump didn't appear to be functioning to the GPH as promised. On a whim, I elevated the filter and wow what a difference!
