I want to start by saying we go camping a lot as a family and therefore I like to have rain boots. The ones I had before made it a few years and then tore a bit. I had been eyeing these hunter boots up for a very long time and finally decided to pull the trigger on buying them. Needless to say, they are totally worth the cost and I am only disappointed that I didn't buy them sooner. They're so soft inside, easy to clean, warm and dry. They look brand new still after a good wiping, even though I wear them sometimes for a week straight, especially when we're camping. I think these look great with jeans so I never feel like I'm wearing these clunky, unfortunately looking rain boots. They are so adorable. I actually wore them to work on and especially rainy day and one of my colleagues mentioned them and I couldn't stop raving about them. Don't sleep on these.

This is my second time writing an amazon review, and I feel these boots are so amazing I must let others know how worth it it is. I debated on buying these for two weeks- I had them on my wishlist and kept going back periodically to read reviews. I weigh 255 and have very large big / muscular calves, short stubby legs, virtually no arch in my foot, and ridiculously flat / wide feet. I have never just ordered shoes online or gone in a store to buy shoes. I usually am forced to order shoes out of a plus size catalog and order “wide” sizes. However, these shoes fit like a second pair of skin. They are so comfortable I could sleep in them. There’s plenty of room for my calves + boot socks. They look adorable with every outfit I’ve tried so far too. I have no cartilage in my toes and finding shoes that don’t hurt my feet is nearly impossible, but I finally found them just in time for cold and wet weather. Normally I suffer through the winters and let my feet get wet / freezing from rain and snow. Not this winter. Worth every penny. I’m so happy I bought these. True to size!!

I originally bought a size 7 from Nordstorm for the same price but fit perfect with no room for a second pair of socks to be worn with so I ordered from Amazon and bought another pair to compare (size 8). I currently wear a size 7 1/2 and read reviews to size down. I ended up returning the size 8 because my feet were swimming in them and flopping in and out ver easily. I really like theses boots. After the first day of wearing my size 7 boots, I got use to them and I wear them when it’s cold or when I want them to go with my winter outfit. I also bought the Hunter boot short socks which keep my feet warm outside of my regular socks that I both put on when it’s freezing out. The boots (from Amazon) came with the Authenticity original boot card in the original box which the Nordstrom pair didn't(card). I recommend these boots and this seller. Came in super quick and refunded money back quick as well(as the size 8 didn't fit).

I'm always nervous about rain boots because I have such large calves and they always fit way too tight on my leg. But because these are just a bit short (hit about mid-shin), and they have the expander in the back, there is plenty of room for my large calves. I actually have the expander pretty tight and there is still a finger width or two between around the top of the boot, so it's not too tight, I can tuck my jeans or thick pants in and still be comfortable. Highly recommend!

I tried several pairs of Hunters before I found this pair- the perfect pair for me. I’m 5’3 so I just did not like the height of the tall boots— although my two teen girls who are a bit shorter than me opted for the tall bc they liked the look of them. I also have large calves from being a lifelong soccer player, and even though I could get away with wearing the regular Hunter boots (just barely!), these fit without any struggle or discomfort at all. These have the wide calf opening which is universal for all sizes, and I like the feel of the loose boot in the calf (like a cowboy boot, not like a fitted boot). If you’re worried about your legs being too wide for the opening, and you’re short or prefer a boot that rises about mid calf, then these are for you!

I waited to review to see if the reviews I read were accurate. NOPE, the original Hunter boot does NOT withstand regular use. I purchased them in June of 2024 and started using them in October of 2024. The pictures show the issues after only 6 months, not happy, detrotriating and soon non-funcional. I had a previous pair from Fred Meyer for $20 which lasted 2 years. Completely dissatisfied with my purchase of over $100 and would not recommend nor buy again. If you use these type of boots for work as I do on a daily basis, pick another brand.
