I have tried several different comforters from Amazon in the last two weeks, desperately trying to find one that won’t make me sweat at night. I’ve tried cotton shell comforters with polyester filling, I’ve tried 100% polyester comforters, and this is my second time trying a down comforter. This is the only one that I like. I looked through loads of articles and reviews. I checked out the New York Times recommended list for down comforters, and then looked at the reviews for the items on that list. All of the reviews are the same. People complain about a wet dog smell, the comforter being too thin, too heavy, I have yet to find a single one that doesn’t have a bunch of negative reviews. I think some of these are just common side effects of having a down comforter, it’s gonna smell like duck, it’s gonna need to be fluffed every now and then and you truly shouldn’t wash it. I found a system. I’m using Tide antibacterial spray for general maintenance and then dry cleaning only when needed. It mainly only smells like wet dog when you actually get it wet, because well it did come from an animal. I wish there was a way to ensure that this came from an ethical source but it’s also way cheaper than most comforters that I’ve found and it’s bigger than most. I don’t have $700 to spend on a blanket. All in all I’m tired of doing research, buying comforters and then returning them and having nights of bad sleep. This is the one I’m sticking with and so far I genuinely love it. If you don’t like the smell of duck feathers and if you don’t want to dry clean only then this isn’t for you. If you get used to those realities then it is really an incredibly comfy, puffy, light and soft comforter. I’ll have a hard time going back to anything polyester after this.

I am so in love with my comforter!!! It's exactly what I've been wanting for too many years! I cannot remember the last time I felt so pleased with an online order, now I just wish I could find a zipper cover for it with the ties on the sides, that feel the exact same way as the comforter itself, I got one that was close, n it works for now, but it's still not it. It definitely keeps body heat in, sometimes a little too much, I like the coldness when I'm sleeping, so I've had to fold it comforter down a bit some nights, but the between the thickness, not too much on the heavy side, but yet still fluffy n comfy enough to wrap up in it, also solves that security feeling, being all wrapped up in it, when sleeping alone.

Perfect! Exactly what we were looking for, a summer or all-year-round feather comforter that is well made. We live in hot, humid, sticky Louisiana, with summer lasting nearly 10 months a year it seems like. We have suffocated under more " traditional " festher comforters that were thicker, and a whole lot hotter. This one is just right. We sleep under central air, ceiling fan, and 2 tower fans, and this comforter is just the right thickness. No feathers poking through, the fabric cover feels very luxurious. I was in love from day one. We got the oversized King which adds to length on each side of bed. I am sure during our "blink-and-you'll- miss-it" winter, we will be happy, but in reality, we do not need it so much now, though it does look nice. I am so surprised at the quality compared to the price. For other reviewers who feel it is too thin or not bulky enough, it is not designed to be a thicker, fluffy cover. It is made to be more sleek and light weight. Planning to order another back up soon, debating traditional or oversized. Hubby and I, along with 2 golden retreivers and 2 cats are all delighted with this purchase. Thanks, Amazon. P.S. I have not noticed any noise with use which can be an issue sometimes with feather comforter.

I have to say that upon receiving this, I was NOT impressed...BUT,lol...this thing is warm, without killing you, its surprisingly fluffy and snuggly!!! I absolutely love it!! Update....after putting the king size in the duvet cover, which is also a king, the comforter seems to actually be a queen size because it does NOT fit. I am going to keep it tho and buy the larger king. Its seriously is the fluffiest thing ever!! My chi loves to get lost in the fluffies!!

I’ve done so much research to find the perfect fluffy duvet and I am so impressed and happy with my purchase! I have a queen size bed and decided on a king duvet insert with a queen cover for a fluffy elevated look. The duvet is full and has some weight to it. We slept for the first time with it last night and it was amazing. We are usually hot sleeper, but the duvet was breathable and cool, perfect. My only complaint is that when I took it out of the package and let it sit out for a few hours, it did make the room smell terrible. After a while the smell got better. Overall, love it. Excellent for the price!

EDIT: About 2 years later, it's still holding up well. No loops are broken, I haven't noticed any shedding, and seems to hold up well to washing. It somehow fits in my normal-sized top load washer. A word of warning, though, is that it did start becoming bottom heavy on my bed inside the duvet cover, but I realized a tie on my cover broke in the top middle spot. It keeps me warm and usually not TOO warm, but there are certain outlier days. I still love the puffiness! I switched it out a couple weeks ago only because I downsized my bed in both height and size, and I also needed a break from the huge duvet, lol. I might reorder in a smaller size, though! ‐-------------------------------- Haven't slept in it yet. I just took it out the box, ruffled it around to fluff it up, and just wanted to post reference pictures for those who are looking for large-sized duvets on Queen bed references! I got the 120×98" size all-season insert. My bed is a typical Queen mattress, but about 14" thick. It sits 28" high from the top of the mattress to the floor. I didn't want my duvet to be so long that it's dragging on the ground, but I knew I wanted a much larger insert to fully cover my bed, including being longer at the end of the bed. I felt the 120×120 sizes would possibly be way too long at the foot of the bed, but I knew I'd have to settle for a 98" length, so here are the results and I don't regret it! I only have 12" of extra clearance at the foot, so sizing up to 120" length would've looked crazy lol. The insert is pulled just about all the way up my bed (played flat) and does just barely cover my entire mattress at the foot. On both sides, it is pulled even and sits barely above the ground. I do plan to put it into a cover that is the same length or shorter on the sides, so it might not sit as low. I tested it and doesn't feel like I'm fighting with the length when I lay in it since it's not too heavy, though ofcourse there is more length to move out the way if one wishes to stick a foot out the side, lol. I struggled so hard to figure out if this would work on my bed. Most Queen bed references are of just a typical King blanket which is still much shorter than I wanted. 108" to116" widths would be ideal for someone with lower-sitting beds but still wanting that oversized, well-covered look, but good luck finding both decent duvet inserts and covers in those sizes

I’m pretty picky about my bedding! This comforter is outstanding. If you are looking for quality lightweight cool in the summer warm in the winter for those who run warm so don’t want to comforter that is too warm. This comforter gets a 10 from me. It washes up beautifully as well.

This comforter is awesome. I hesitated a bunch because of the price, but ultimately I'm super happy with my decision to spend the money. I didn't use the dryer to fluff it, I just shook it out a bunch of times and left it out for a few hours. I don't know about you, but I love the crinkle-esque sound and this has the perfect balance. I use a duvet cover and it was such a great sleep, not too hot and not too cold, and feeling the fluff added a little extra comfort. The fit is great, i love the size. Thickness is awesome for temperature control. Overall, it was an awesome value.
