Check pricing because Amazon isn’t the best pricing, you can find better prices out there. Also, if you do decide to return a unit (I returned a Garmin Striker 4, too small a screen and I have maps for the Helix). The re-stocking fees are ridiculous.

I use this for ice fishing. It does what it’s intended to do. It lets me know if there are fish even where I’m at. What depth there at and where my bait is. My kids enjoy it as much as I do. It doesn’t come with the foam piece to hold the transducer up out of the water. Which isn’t a huge deal. There like 5 dollars. Worth the money. ... show more

Battery on the website states it is larger than what comes with it. I called the help line and they didn't know what I was talking about. I walked them through the math and I could hear the drool pooling on the floor. Seller I bought it from was great. Other than that works great.

I got this because I recently got back into ice fishing. I’ve never used an old school flasher and figured this would be easier to use plus I could convert it for a boat. Last year I used it ice fishing 3-4 times. Our season was very short. I found it to be very accurate. I could see my jigs and fish approaching on bottom view. I also used the flasher feature and found that helpful. The battery it came with was damaged during shipping so I had to get the same one from a different supplier. The battery life is very long. It still had lots of life left after 4-5hrs of use. I ended up buying a transducer, power cable, and mount to use in my boat. Worked well it open water mode also. It has a GPS built in so I knew my trolling speed even which is nice. I’m very happy with this unit. ... show more
