    • If the screws are in a zip bag, it is a red flag of bad screw/pole

I ordered a first one which did not work, the screws were packed not in the original bag(as the 2nd shipment had a clear bag with zigged edges you have to rip while the previous bad ones were just in a random plastic zip bag-not sealed). The 2nd one was much better and no issues with alignment and difficult stripped screws, I was done in < 3 min. 1st one got returned - just watch out if you get a bad one as well. The bookcase is very cute, only issue is if you are like me and have a young toddler who wants to climb on everything then you need to wait a bit before they can really use it as a library/book corner. ... show more

We live in an apartment, so my daughter's playroom is also our living room. I wanted a simple bookcase to display books for my toddler that she could easily access on her own. This bookcase fits with our decor and serves the intended purpose - and it didn't break the bank. I will add to be careful where you put this bookcase because the wooden edges are quite sharp. In my original location, my toddler slipped and hit her face leading to a big bruise and lots of tears. Now it's out of her way and I don't worry about her falling on it as easily. Update: the seam in the bottom pocket started to come apart after only 1 month of use resulting in big holes. I called the seller/manufacturer and after a quick phone call they are sending me a new one! Great customer service! ... show more
