    • Makes threading a needle fairly easy

Just got these and they worked as advertised on various needles. I have not tried them on extremely small eyed needles (worked well on size 75 needles which is generally the smallest ones I use on my sewing machine). I suggest that those who complain that they need 3 hands to thread the needle (I found that I was able to relatively easily manage with just my two hands) may want to innovate just a little and place their needle into a pin cushion (which I assume everyone has) to hold the needle, and then use the right hand (if right handed) to hold the threader, and the left hand to hold the thread, hooking it onto the hook. That way, you can maintain slight tension on the thread so it doesn’t come off the hook. Also, you should angle the hook end slightly upwards so that the thread does not come off the hook when you pull it through the eye of the needle. Those that complain that they cannot use this on their sewing machine since modern sewing machine needles are oriented so that the thread goes into the needle from the front, should use a little common sense and just take the needle out of the machine (extremely easy to do with just a quarter turn of the fastening screw) and thread the needle. It is easy enough to then re-insert and tighten the needle into the sewing machine making sure that the thread is not twisted around the needle and that the proper orientation of the thread (i.e., entering from the front) is maintained. Problem solved. So far, I have not had any issues with using this device and although I just recently began using these, I have not had any break so far. At $3.99 for 30 of them, I’m not too worried about it if some of the hooks break off. At this point, I have 29 extras that I have in reserve (from my experience so far, I am far more likely to misplace and lose the one I am using, rather than having it break). As with all things, YMMV but I have found these threaders to be a fantastic help as I get progressively older, LOL. ... show more

Do as they say they would. I have used two a few times and they seem to work but have a bit of a rough time pulling the metal with the thread back through the needle eye. Maybe I am using it wrong, but I would think there isn't really a wrong way to use this. It almost feels like a bit of a rough stamp. I may file a few and see if that helps if so, I will see if I can update. ... show more

It takes some finagling and you almost need three hands, but once you find a method that works it's easy to thread needles. Because the eye on my sewing machine needle is front to back I had to bend the lancet slightly to be able to use it. But it works great! I have only used it for regular Lesley and it worked. There is a learning point about how to loop your thread securely so you can pull it. But if much sturdier than looped ones. I have yet to try on sewing machine. I took one star off because of quality control issues. One is totally missing the loop. ... show more

I recently bought a package of Hula Home needle threaders. They work on my sewing machine. YAY. A Hula Home threader is easy to hold, easy to use, and -- thanks to the bright colors - easy to find. The only thing I do not know yet is how durable a Hula Home needle threader is. If I find that it breaks within 100 uses, I will alter this review to downgrade it.
