This product when set up will allow you to get alerts from any Power Watchdog product from miles away! This is perfect for the pet owners, or if your RV is in storage! How it works: The RV WHISPER System needs to have internet access (WiFi). This can be either ‘camp’ WiFi, or a personal jet pack set up. Once connected to WiFi, the RV WHISPER system then links to your Power Watchdog unit. Once completely set up, the data; watts, volts, amps, and power alerts will be sent to the RV WHISPER system, from there it will be sent to the ‘cloud’. This allows you the user to get emails, text alerts, and or log in to see in real time your volts, watts, amps, and if there are any power issues at your RV from miles away! This is an exclusive feature ONLY with the Power Watchdog brand of advanced RV surge protectors. This kit also comes with one temperature sensor. So this way, you can know the temperature in your RV, and also if your power is safe/secure. Perfect for keeping your pets SAFE!

    • Using to monitor my rv when I leave my beagle alone in it.
Unit seems to work ok, but some items are hard to connect to it. Got my Hughes Watch Dog EPO unit and my temp monitor hooked up so if power goes out or temp is too high it will notify me. I leave my beagle once in a while in rv while I am out riding so want to make sure she is safe.

Connecting this thing is unreasonably difficult. It finds the network, I input the password, it says it needs to reboot, and no reboot. Connecting to Wifi was solved many many years ago. This looks and feels like junk. There are cheaper solutions out there, go for one of those is the best advice I can give. ... show more

    • It works - the support was great
The unit works, although it took a bit of effort to get it going and keep it going. That was when I got on the phone with Ed, who gave great support and feedback. The unit does not stream continuously, and on the phone you have to reconnect regularly to update the info. Not 100% sure if the notification will work if that is necessary, only time will tell, not to keen to create such an opportunity. The interface with other equipment is limited to those coming from the same supplier, not all other bluetooth stuff will connect. ... show more
