Works great if you only use it indoors with the lights off. Otherwise the laser is very low power and hard to see. Not to mention the target provided is also, wait for it, green. If you need one for a few small jobs and don’t want to rent it go for it. Otherwise seek a higher quality option.

I am leveling ceilings and floors in a 80+ years old house. I knew the ceilings had low spots so I needed to locate them. This laser tool got that done. Keep in mind there is an offset when leveling floors. It is about 3/8 of an inch and that is due to the offset due to the base. This unit I ordered came with several different mounting jigs and a remote. The remote did not work, however in the manual I found instructions how to pair the remote with the laser assembly. Now the remote works fine. The laser light beam in not a tight focused beam. At about 10 foot the beam itself becomes 3/16 of inch wide. That is relatively minor as I could work with that. Overall the unit works great and far far cheaper than those made by Bosch which are $500 or more. The laser beam is visible in low light. Not all that visible in bright light. Not visible beyond a few feet in bright sunlight Overall this laser is doing the interior house renovation well. Go long battery life. The battery comes with a recharging cable. I can't say how many charging cycles the battery will be good for. It's worth the price.

I purchased this laser for use in lining up ten LED light fixtures spread around a three car garage shop. This product worked perfectly in that application. The green laser light is very easy to see under all but brighter light conditions. Will also be using this laser to help with locating electrical boxes and with installation of shop cabinets. I did not purchase a mounting pole, but that is something that would have been very handy.

I bought this laser for a recent project. I was skeptical because I had an old school, Craftsman laser level that more work to setup than the job I was trying to accomplish. I looked at a similar product from Milwaukee since I am invested in their battery platform. But I didn’t not want to spend the $600 for their level. So I found this one and decided to try based on positive reviews. It has been nothing short of spectacular. It is so simple to setup due to the self-leveling feature. It has bailed me out of so many situations I never even thought of, such as framing for windows as pictured. This is a super handy tool and extremely accurate. I still check it to make sure and it has been spot on every time. The magnet on the base is really strong and I’ve attached it many things like metal ductwork and ladders. The battery life has been excellent, seeming to last all day without need to recharge. The case is durable and provides plenty of space for storing all the included accessories. Something that the Milwaukee laser doesn’t even offer and no batteries! My one complaint or suggestion would be the lack of feedback received when inserting the battery into the device. I would like to click or lock into place. Instead this battery has to be inserted and I don’t really know if it’s properly seated or not. And a couple times it has not. Minor observation but has not impeded my use of the tool. I would and have highly recommended this tool to people in other trades who ask about it and wonder if the brand is reliable.

So far, I've used this level to lay brick on a pathway and to set stones in a retaining wall. As long as I don't have direct sun on the measuring pole (a yellow yard stick), working outside in shade, the line is bright enough to see at about 25'-30'. Fortunately, I don't need to work over larger distances. Having the beam ~1" above the base also makes laying bricks very easy. And the scissor stand has come in quite handy. Compact case holds the equipment, extra battery, charger and the detector clamp and battery - very handy. Using the detector, you have to remember to switch the laser level to pulse mode. The detector instructions are not explicit about that, but the laser level instruction are. I haven't used the detector yet, just verified that it works.

I wish I had a way of measuring the accuracy of this device. The batteries that comes with seam high quality and you can directly connect a USB cable to charge the batteries. I wish it had a way of turning it off. It certainly has a power button. I even got out the user's manual the section for how to turn the unit off spans two pages. I couldn't figure out what they were talking about or how to turn the unit off though. So I'm left pulling the battery off every time. There's enough friction pulling the battery off that I'm concerned about how I grip the unit when I do that because I feel like there's going to be some sort of damage that would occur to the fragile looking laser emitter

Good product for the price. Unit works great. Remote is a peice of junk , but everything else works fine. Line is bright inside. Have not used it out doors yet. Battery life is pretty decent
