Picked this up for some leveling work around the house and it's been great so far. The tripod feels sturdy, doesn't wobble on you, and the pole extends nice and smooth all the way to 12 ft without getting sticky or uneven. Liked that it comes with both the 1/4"-20 mount and the 5/8"-11 adapter, so it works with pretty much any laser level you throw at it (rotary or line, doesn't matter). Saved me from having to buy extra parts separately. Everything in the listing photo is exactly what showed up — tripod, pole, mount, adapter, and a padded carrying bag that's actually decent quality, not some flimsy afterthought. Setup is quick too, maybe a minute tops, and the little bubble level on the bracket makes it easy to know you're square before you lock it down. Only minor thing is the height adjustment clips feel a little basic, but honestly for what you're paying that's a non-issue. If you need a solid pole/tripod combo for laser leveling and don't want to drop a ton of cash on pro-grade survey gear, this is a great middle ground. Works as advertised, no surprises, would buy again.

A few months ago I ordered the Huepar 3D Green Beam Self-Leveling Laser Level 3x360. Really nice unit, but I found out trying to get it to an exact height could be a challenge, the magnet on the laser bracket is very helpful, but you don't always have a magnetic surface. I tried my camera tripod, and that worked, but only for about 5ft in height. I mainly use the laser for shelves, pictures and sometimes need to have it a little higher than my camera tripod will go. Then I saw this Telescoping Pole that can work up to 12 foot. After checking out the photos and info, I decided to give this a try. I must say, it is nice and works great. I will describe the best I can. It came in a nice carry bag, this way you can keep all parts together. All the extension poles are made of aluminum, that makes it lightweight and you don't have to worry about rust. Each pole has standard and metric markings, 1/4 inch and 5mm. When you screw the poles together, the marks line up. The tripod is much like a camera tripod, the legs can be extended and adjusted for uneven surfaces. There is also a screw at the top to tighten the stand to the pole, no need to super tighten it, and a bubble level to see when you have the stand level. The bottom pole has a spring and a foot piece to push down on, this is after you select the correct amount of poles for the height needed and use the length adjustment on the bottom pole. Hold the yellow part of the bottom pole in one hand, and the footstep part in the other hand and give a slight twist to unlock the pole to pull out for adjustment, then slight twist to retighten. I mention these things as there were no instructions included. The part that slides onto the pole to hold the laser has a lever to lock it too the pole, The one slight issue I saw with this is when the lever was out, ready to install on the pole, you either had to stick you finger in the bracket to push back the plastic piece that locks it to the pole or when putting it on the pole, you have to tilt the bracket and catch the plastic piece on the pole first. With it unlocked, it should slide straight down on the pole, but this is not happening on the one I have, they could use a spring to pull that piece back to make it work better, or, once you have the bottom pole in the tripod, then put the next pole thru this bracket from the top, it will slide through with ease. Once you have the bracket on the pole, it has a fine adjust, there is a lock screw on the side, be sure this is loose before turning the adjustment, once adjusted to the height, just slightly tighten the lock screw, DO NOT CRANK IT DOWN. There is a top piece to put on the top pole that will rest on the ceiling, but beware, this will do no good on a lay-in ceiling, and if you are using it on popcorn ceiling, it could knock some of that off, so you may want to put the stand in a doorway instead. Overall, for me, this stand should take care of almost anything you need, it is light, portable, easy to put together. I have seen other poles that did not have the tripod, without a tripod, you would be limited to places you could use a laser.

I purchased this to go with our laser level from the same company, which works very well. This really needs to be anchored at the ceiling. If you’re doing anything over about 5 feet high because the legs of this are not as stable as I would like them to be. They need to spread out a little more, but that would create problems in itself of being able to use it in tight places so it’s kind of a catch 22 as to whether it should be a wider footprint or whether this just needs to be carefully set up so that it doesn’t fall over.

The most important aspect of using a laser level is to set it to the desired height. Over the years, I have used various sizes of tripods and find I was having to stack things to set the tripod on so that I could focus the light at the proper height. Another challenge is what to do when you have to use a level near the ceiling. Stacking things that high can take up a lot of room to maintain stability. This unit allows you to very easily set your vertical height and then fine tune that height and only take up the size of the pole. It does come with a tripod, but have not had to ever use it. It is very easy to move it and set it from floor to ceiling.

I bought the telescoping pole/mount initially to re-tape 30 year old sagging drywall in my garage using the associated Huepar 3D laser. I own tripods already that I could have used. But this tripod stood out for these reasons. The tripod locks into position from the floor to ceiling under spring tension. I would have knocked it over a few times if this were not the case. The section of the garage ceiling near the garage doors is lower than the rest of the garage. It was easy to unscrew one section of the telescoping pole to work on that section. The old drywall was mounted with nails that popped out. I replaced them and added to them with screws. I put a measuring tape on the floor. Then I moved the telescoping pole to each 16 inch marking on the measuring tape to insert the screws on that laser line. It was so easy to move the telescoping pole because it is lightweight and has a relatively small base that did not get in the way of objects that could not be removed from the garage. I needed to realign the garage door tracks and chain. In this case, the laser needs to go through 3 points. With my normal tripods, I would have to keep moving the base of the trip around. But with this tripod there is a trick. Get the base in the general position. Then spin and adjust both the mounting bracket and laser at the same time until the laser cuts the 3 points. This was a real time saver. It takes some thinking to do it the first time. They it is automatic from muscle memory. I needed to mount a new garage entry door. I think I do a good job mounting doors. But I never know if I did it perfectly. Using this tripod with the 3D laser made this easy. The tripod is adjustable vertically in a wide range. So I was able to easily check that every aspect of the door frame was precisely aligned. The end result was a door that swung with the most minimal effort and closed tightly. Now I want to re-hang all my other doors. I highly recommend this item. I think it is a good value and solidly built for home use.

I am using this kit on a outdoor fence project. The kit makes measuring, level, height, and slope a price of cake. There will be a little bit of shake from the wind but nothing excessive. It is lightweight and may not be durable enough for full time use but for a pro homeowner it is worth a lot more than it costs.

The overall quality is good and everything works as intended, but the pole configuration is poorly suited for a standard 8-foot ceiling. When using the tension-mount setup, you have to extend the adjustable bottom section quite a bit to reach the ceiling. Because the laser mount can’t travel down over that extended section, you effectively lose the bottom couple feet of usable height. So if you need a laser line somewhere around 2 feet off the floor or lower, you simply can’t position the laser there. This is especially frustrating for something like tiling a shower, where I’d like to set the pole once and be able to move the laser anywhere from near the floor to near the ceiling. Including one shorter pole section would largely solve the problem by allowing the adjustable section to remain collapsed farther down. You can work around it by using the tripod configuration, and I was able to use a single pole section with the tripod, but that setup feels somewhat awkward and means repeatedly changing configurations depending on the height you need. Overall, it’s a decent-quality product and does what it claims, but if you have 8-foot ceilings and need to use your laser close to the floor, be aware that the tension-pole configuration will not give you the full floor-to-ceiling adjustment you might expect.
