This product arrived on time and I'm happy to say it is soft. I was worried about the raised design irritating my skin as I can be sensitive in that regard. But I can't even tell that the pattern is there and it's a cute pattern. It looks great in my R. V. and it fits! I tried to show in my photos what it looks like underneath my jackknife sofa because I have hardware that does hinder the full coverage capability of this cover. It's perfect for my needs though.
