    • The app will make you suffer.
The watch might overall be a reasonable product. As it goes nowadays, it will not let you function without having you installed an annoying app on ur mobile, In this case the app IS annoying. Instead of focusing on training assistance it aims at taking over your data. The app is named "health" which is already disturbing since i purchased the watch to track my sport activity and not to be my full scale medical advisor. To the point the CONS: 1. The app would extract as much private info out of you as it can. It will refuse to act without you having disclosed all your info. Those who care about their privacy will have to cancel the permissions each time after dealing with the app. 2. The watch is kinda "reluctant" to function without the app present nearby and will issue warnings that without the app the GPS is not properly synched. Why would I run 10km carrying the smart-phone on me?? Is totally inconvenient. 3. The app usage is cumbersome as it takes u plenty of time to actually navigate to what u need. The app will insist on having access to all your phone data. It will also insist on having access to all ur phone controls and looks like being designed to compromise ur privacy. One should make sure to cancel all permissions once the watch is active and u r done with the app. 4. The watch should have an internal memory to be able to pair with ur headphones and play music during the run. However, u HAVE to transfer the music files via the app. And the app , at this point will disturb you by suggesting other music-related merchandise. 5.One can never browse over the music file in the watch, no folders. U have to play it all or either shuffle. U cannot play only some files. 6. If there is just a little of sweat on ur hand - the watch will show wrong heartbeat 7. If you forgot ur password the app will lead you through pwd restoration procedure so lengthy and so annoying you will regret u ever bought that watch PROS: 1. there is a training history. 2. This is a great watch for fitness. The heart rate is more responsive than my Garmin Vivoactive and my previous Samsung watch, and my previous Polar watch. When I say responsive - I mean when I lift weights and my heart rate goes up to 140 at peak it charts it. When I sit down to rest it drops down to 80 or 90 and charts it. After my workout, I can see where my really hard sets were and figure what I was doing at that time. Contrast that my previous watches - a lot of time they would lag and my readout afterwards looked like a wave instead of a spiky path. The watch has a lot of workouts. It appears they mostly track heart rate, speed snf distance which is fine for me. The watches that track specific weightlifting movements have been more of a distraction than anything. If specific apps are your thing - you really can't add much to the watch for apps. The look is very nice and professional. I went with the green one and I love the brushed nickel metal and the shiny screen. The band isn't luxury but it isn't orange or red either so I can wear it to work and it adds to my appearance instead of distracts from it. This was s good purchase. ... show more

The resolution and color on the screen is incredible, and it is extremely responsive to the touch. In general I really liked the watch, even with the software issues (in the US). I got other faces to load with a bit of effort. Software is a bit of a mess, but have not seen any smart watch software that is actually good. I am sending it back for only one reason, and it is the only real issue I had with the watch. The screen goes to the edge of the watch, and is not protected. For most people this would not matter but I am very active and the appearance of my G-Shock watches prove it. This watch, although incredible, would have a broken crystal/screen within a year... tops. After trying half a dozen smart watches, ended up going with the Amazfit T Rex Pro. Battery life for both is excellent. Screen is not as good, or responsive as the Huawei but it is a pretty accurate/decent watch that is built to military grade like my G Shocks. It SHOULD last. If Huawei ever builds a military grade watch as good as this one, I will be a buyer. I really did like it. ... show more

I have had the watch for just one week, used if for Running and cycling, so far has worked very well. Positives- It has a lot of functions to assist with workouts speed, pace , cadence, etc GPS seems to be accurate within 2 meters, Heart monitor and health app seems to work well, it gives plenty of information on workout performance. Negatives- Heath app initially seems to take a while to download in my case it froze, Cure was to delete it and start again , which sorted the issue. other issue is to make sure compass is working and GPS sees all satellites before you start your work out otherwise GPS can be inaccurate. Also with IOS the functions aren't as good as Android ie no music download, which isn't an issue for me. Conclusion: I have completed several Firmware updates and now have weather forecast, sunrise , moonrise info plus additional watch faces, more then you will ever need! aesthetically ( I have the green strap version) it looks good. I was looking for a fitness watch and was ready to pony up 200 for a Garmin watch when I realized it couldn't play music and didn't even have a touchscreen. Faced with paying an extra 50 for a passable watch, I looked at other options, and I am so glad I found this. If you can get past the possibility of China tracking your activity and no always on display (because that feature requires an update that isn't available in the US), it's a really good value. The watch looks great, the aforementioned lack of always on display actually makes it look even sleeker, it scolds you for never getting enough sleep, tells you how stressed you are so it can also tell you how much it raised your heart rate, and even measures your oxygen and plays music to your BT earbuds. Assuming this thing doesn't give me cancer it's one of the better purchases I've made in my life. 5 stars! ... show more
