The media could not be loaded. My kids loved playing with robots and also playing and putting together little kits. So, I decided to get this robot kit and they have been having a blast playing with it. It comes with 439 pieces which is more than enough for my kids to work together. The guidebook also helps with the building process as well and so they have been using it to put it together easily. The plastic blocks are easy to manipulate and put together with no issues as well. It also a great toy to learn plenty of skills with that involve them having to problem solve, organize, and work as a team to put the kit together. Once it is together and working I can then use an APP that is provided to work the robot. I like all the technology that it has like a gravity sensor, path mode, and voice control mode which all settings are fun to use and the robot can move in all directions for a long time with just two AAA batteries. Overall, it has helped my kids love for technology grow and they are having a great time using this robot. ... show more

Very happy with this purchase!! I bought a Max for my son for Christmas last year. he’s 11 years old and neither him nor my husband could figure the thing out. $200 down the drain. I needed something less advanced And this guy worked out perfectly for us! My 8 and 14 year olds also find it intriguing. it provides some challenge but also not frustrating to figure out.. which makes it actually fun to put together. Bright, Clear, Easy to read and follow instructions. it also came beautifully boxed. The finished product is fun and easy to maneuver. My daughter loves to build stuff. We used to subscribe to the monthly building kits but after a few months, we realized it’s more economical to buy individual kits instead. This way she also gets to pick what she’ll be building too. This set was a good short build. She worked on it multiple days after school. Total probably around 2 hours. The instructions were pretty easy to follow. They lay out the pieces for each step as well as what the incremental step looks like once assembled. This robot can also be app controlled. She was very proud to drive it around the house. Overall a good kit to get fundamental understanding of robotics and how motors work. ... show more

    • Tough to put together
I bought this as a christmas present for my nephew. The parts were organized well in little baggies but the directions were over his head, he is 13. His dad tried helping him but they gave up. Worked on the project on and off for 3 days. 2 months later, still not put together.

Great for building your own but It's meant for older kids. Second the remote and motor is great but apparently there is no app on Android. It's not compatible. That was a huge downer especially when it says so. Easy to assemble? Pictures should more detailed and more explanatory. If you like pictures not words. This is for you. Is it a good buy? It's okay.
