I picked this up but was not sure it would be able to handle my monitor, even though it is not at the high end of the range because it is an older curved 34" Dell monitor that I picked up back in 2014 or 2015, meaning it is potentially heavier than current monitors of similar or even bigger dimensions. Happily, it does hold my monitor with seeming ease, allowing me to move it into various positions pretty easily. Some light assembly required, but the most tedious parts are screwing the VESA mount into the back of the monitor and adjusting the knobs that increase or decrease the torque of the various joints of the monitor arm to ensure that the monitor floats and does not sink or get too hard to move. Once everything is dialed in, the arm makes it pretty easy to shift the location of the monitor in three dimensions. The only caveat is that one has to be mindful to fold the arm a certain way to get it to move laterally or forward and back properly; after a few times, it becomes pretty straightforward and muscle memory. There are only two minor negatives. Dialing in the tilt is difficult; maybe because my monitor is relatively heavy, it is a pretty razor thin adjustment point between having the monitor too hard to tilt and being so loose that the monitor flops forward. While the monitor is held very well in place, moving the desk can lead to the monitor bouncing up and down a bit, transferring all the motions up the arm. Both of those are fairly minor though, considering how sturdy and versatile the arm is otherwise.

At first glance, I thought "Wow.. that's a lot of parts" and wondered how this was going to go together, but after setting all the parts out, it became pretty obvious how it all works. It has either "through-hole" mounting, or mounts to the edge of a desk, which is what I chose. Everything was labeled which way is "UP" and I barely had to look at the instructions, which were nice and complete anyway. The stability and build quality is good. I have another similar arm on another workbench, and I feel like this one gives me more versatility as to where the monitor can be positioned than my old one, which is nice. It can fold completely "flat" against the monitor, so the monitor can be almost against the wall behind the desk, or it can extend fully out, all while having full motion at each joint. My favorite part though is that this mount lets the monitor spin 360 degrees, which is cool because I intend to play old-school video games like PacMan, which when played on some emulators/FPGAs expect the monitor to be mounted sideways, so this will be an easy "twist" to make it right. I showed one picture with the monitor in this "portrait" mode. I would definitely buy another one of these.
