Works like a charm, simple to install. Make sure you hit a stud or have some kind of backing, wouldn't trust it in drywall alone. Holds my 34" curved ultrawide well and im able to adjust and it will stay at the height I want. Adjustment to the gas arm was needed, mount it first though! Fine cable management, add some Velcro for a cleaner install. Can't beat it for the price, just make sure your display isn't too heavy. ... show more

I wasn't aware that you couldn't mess with the gas arm until after installing, so I was nervous to mount it if it wasn't going to sit where I typically needed my monitor to be. I wanted to play with it a little before drilling into the wall but was not able to. Turns out it goes everywhere I need it to be and then some, and is very sturdy.     • Fantastic monitor mount
This was easy to install and adjust, assuming you follow directions well. Once it was mounted, adjusting the tension was rather simple with the supplied Allen wrench. Works perfectly!

    • OK So I bought THREE OF These
Overall build quality was good. Hardware however the lag bolts for actually mounting to the wall studs not so much . Socket headed bolts also have phillips driver recess. Doesn't matter when the bolts are made of like baked mud or something. damn near crumbled in my hands let alone applying real tools or god forbid a power drill to. Monitors range in weight from a little 5lb 21" to a whopping 32" 17lb but actually I think my 21" is the heaviest at like almost 20 lbs. These handle them without problems. The range of motion could be a little better but they serve my needs. Off to investigate KVM switches so all three can swap between work and play with a button click. Will update on mounts cohesiveness & wear after I get a KVM and have been using them for a while. ATM all are mounted and ranged well. ... show more

    • Nice Solid Monitor Mount with Good Range of Motion - but Beware of Common Mounting Misconceptions
This is an excellent mount and has no problem holding up an LG 27" monitor with increased tension to spare. I am buying another when the price comes down again (the price seems to fluctuate a bit). I noticed many of the one star reviews complained about two specific things: First, people complain that the mounting plate that attaches to the back of the monitor was not in the right position for mounting. This may be the case out of the box - but the mounting plate does (and is intended to) rotate and can be turned to the correct position. Granted, turning the monitor is a bit harder before the monitor is mounted as there is much less leverage, but it can be done without too much effort. Second, commenters complained that you could not adjust the tension out of the box, and the tension screw was in accessible in the position it comes in out of the box. I agree that this was confusing and I originally thought that this was a defect. But, according to the manual, and in practice, you should not adjust the tension until after the arm is actually mounted in the wall. Before you mount it on the wall, it is very tough to move the joint due to leverage issues - and this is the case even at the lowest tension. Once mounted on the wall, even at the highest tension, the leverage provided by the wall and the arm make it much easier to move the mount and access the tension screw to adjust it. It makes most sense to adjust the tension screw once the monitor is actually attached. While this issue is not a defect, it does make figuring out where to mount the arm to the wall a bit more difficult in the first place because it makes it a much harder to play around with the range of motion until after you mount it. This is why I took stars off on the "easy to install" metric. ... show more

It is well made, but it did Not get five stars because None of the screws worked. I had to buy screws. The ones that they send broke!

    • Works Pretty Well - Pitches forward on larger screen
Using this to mount a dell U3417 monitor on the wall. Installed just fine, but the monitor (while in specs of the mount) still pitched forward. Got it shored up how I want it, but no longer move it because I am concerned it will pitch forward again. It has been holding strong in position for 2-3 months now. ... show more
