These are Great! We purchased them two years ago and still work as good a the day we bought them. We have a very long driveway easily 300ft plus and we have been surprised they work so well. We run a business from home, living on acreage and have a gate entry. We bought them mainly so we would know when we were getting a delivery, but it's been a nice security alert as well. They blend in so well you can't really see them on our property. You could paint them to blend in and look like real birdhouses. It has several messages to choose from, however it'd be nice if we could record one to add a specific location. We have it set up now is when someone enters our gate it says "Driveway" as a vehicle etc reaches another location we have it set up for another message that alerts us to how far they are from the house. We know exactly where a vehicle or intruder is at this point and are able to go outside to met/greet whomever came up our driveway. You can mount them with the hardware supplied with on a post or tree, but mounting on our trees we preferred to used zip ties that worked great. They are sensitive to birds, deer or mountain lion as well. We have been able to gauge the time frame between alerts that we can figure out what is going on. They work so well that even our dogs and the bird (a cockatiel) know when someone is coming up the road and go off way in advance as they know what "Drive way" means. It's pretty funny, but it gives us time to position and prepare ourselves to receive whomever. Great product for a great price. Highly recommended.

I got these because they are solar and where I want them they would get lots of sun. They work great. I have one at the beginning of my drive way and one on the porch, both ding and say "driveway" and One afternoon a few days ago we heard "driveway drivewaydrivewaydriveway drivewaydriveway" and I hurried to look out and there were a small herd of yearling deer walking up our driveway. It also works great when a car or Amazon delivery vehicles turn into our drive. They have been through bad storms and heavy rain and still look new and work fine. They will also alert when a bird flies in front of the sensor, that is why I have 3 "watching" the driveway. They can truly see a long distance, the porch one triggered when the neighbor was mowing his field over an acre away from it. Highly recommend

This item worked well for a week..then it started going off randomly. At first I thought it was birds..but it goes of by itself.. no wind,rain,leaves..nothing is passing in front of it and it just goes off. I've reset it several time to no avail. Ilcan't return it. It is in my driveway.. is the second system but I guess from two different mfgs. I might as well use what the gas stations use to to the gas pumps to alert them they had a customer. Highly disappointed. You have been warned⚠️ this is my experience with it in less than a month. Today l have to revise this rating to a 5 star...the owner responded positively and asked for more info. I thought they were going to send a fix..instead they sent an entire unit...this happened in a three day period. It was out of the return window...and they replaced it unexpectedly. That's what I call service .. thank you HTZ the replacement is doing well. No more false alarms.

We love that it has a variety of sounds, that it is weatherproof how easy it was to install, and that it is loud. It does go off if anything gets in it's path day or night. Including deer, ground hogs, and birds.

The media could not be loaded. Purchased 01/2024 Reviewed 03/2024. When I came across these I have to admit the styling of the product attracted me to it, but I read the reviews & even asked some questions before purchasing. They look ornamental when in place outside, someone glancing at them would probably think they are a decoration. They solve two immediate issues for me: 1) I needed to be made aware if someone was on the outside, esp. at night -- I had just had someone attempt to break in in December while I was home during the evening - these sensors now give me peace of mind & comfort knowing that if someone is prowling around they will be sensed & an alarm will sound inside. 2) I have an old fashioned door bell - for some reason most delivery people do not ring it, & most of the time don't even knock - they just drop packages & go. Now when someone approaches the door the alarm sounds - if I am in the rear of the house I will hear it and can come & see what triggered the sound. Now, as a result of the attempted break in, I have also installed lights outside -- but I'm not going to cover every nook & cranny with lights, these sensors add to my program of security around the house. I also got these birdhouses because they are solar powered - they are placed where they will receive plenty of sunshine to power them but as an added bonus - you can add additional sensors to the system & they can be a different model or style from the same company & they will all work with the same receiver. I intend to add a couple of battery operated sensors to cover the part of my property that doesn't get adequate sunshine. Most of the reviews are from people who have large properties -- but I live in a standard residential house in a regular neighborhood -- yes these work for me also. You need to be careful when judging where to place the sensor so you are not picking up regular everyday movement & having the alarm go off all the time. I placed my front yard alarm on a fence post at the boundary of my property & aimed it across my property to the other boundary fence = This covers my front yard (+front door) all the way across & the driveway also so any time the beam is crossed it goes off. I have a driveway that actually runs all the way along the side of the house to a garage in the rear & I park my truck along the side of the house - If someone tries to just walk on the driveway to the truck or garage area when gate is open,(or approaches gate @ night) now crossing the beam will alarm me. The rear alarm is kinda placed so garage rolldown door & rear door of house is covered if approached. Here's a little bonus feature - I chose the "wot wot" sound for the backyard, so one day I heard it going off & thought who could be in the backyard - I went to the window & found birds hopping around forging & sometimes when they fly up or down they cross the beam -- so while they are active I get a little musical interlude with the alarm sound sometimes sounding off. Now if this sounds off at night - that's a different matter! You have a lot of choice with what chimes you can use, some are very musical - several notes, others are brief. My only suggestion regarding this product, is to cut down on the number of the chimes & instead have longer playing chimes -- some of the brief ones might not be heard over the noise inside your house of everyday life (TV,microwave,dishwasher,fan, MUSIC,or just a lot of talking). Yes the receiver has lights that flash when processing alarm - but my receiver is in a floor outlet & can't always be seen -- if the chime repeated twice or three times, I think that would improve catching it. But after stating that, I've had no problem hearing my chimes, but I am alone most of the time in the house & I control what NOISE goes on inside the house (lol) Get these, they're cute & decorate your yard. They work - both as notification of movement &/or as a alarm of movement.
