Just got my VIVE Eagle and I’m having fun trying everything out. I was a little unsure about smart glasses with a camera at first, mostly because of privacy, so I really like how HTC handled that. The recording light is probably my favorite detail—if it’s covered, the camera won’t keep recording, which honestly makes me feel a lot more comfortable wearing these around other people. I also appreciate that HTC says they don’t sell your data or use it to train VIVE AI. Still very new to them, but so far they’re light, comfortable, fun to use, and the privacy features definitely make me feel better about owning smart glasses. ... show more

When I put on the round-frame VIVE Eagle in Black none of my friends even realized it’s a smart glasses until I pointed it out! They just look like high-quality designer frames because there’s no weird, glowing AR display on the lenses . The real standout for me is the real-time AI translation. Now I can hear the translation piped directly into my ears when talking to my neighbors who just moved here from France. I also got the tiny, thumb-sized magnetic battery pack, it’s an easy clip onto the arm of the glasses. There is no annoying wires, it gives me extra hours of use.
