Controllers would sync blue and within 20 secs of use would switch to flashing red and blue and no longer allow me to use. I tried turning off and back on but did it each time. Returning but will try ordering different one because the few 20 secs I had to use it, it looks cool. Update- ordered another one and it started good with solid blue light on controller. I played a few rounds of joust. When I returned to the menu to choose a different game, the controller wasn't responding and I noted the controller went back to flashing blue and red which indicates disconnected. No instructions on how to reconnect or why it may disconnect. I'm returning this one too due to the controller issue. The game quality overall for joust was pretty good except the sound was just a bit delayed. Not sure if that is due to it being an older game or file issue but noticed when I hit a bird, the bop sound was not in sync.

My 89 year old husband (!) decided that it would be nice to get a video game. The last time we had a video game was in 1989. I knew that they've come a long way since way back in the stone age of video games. I also wasn't going to pay $500+ for a video game. I ran across several of these game dongles, with controls. I picked this one because of the 40k + games. As usual, the instructions were less than desirable. But, I simply plugged the included hdmi into the smart TV and was instantly connected. The controls use AA batteries. I assume all of these gaming consoles are the same...no instructions. I've managed to get a couple of the games loaded and going. The graphics are good. The controllers work very well. It's just a matter of learning the system and controllers. You definitely get a lot of bang for the buck. The price is excellent and the choice of games is surprisingly great. It's well worth the money.

Everything was there, delivery was good. I took a chance on this being decent, it didn't happen. I was wanting to play Super Mario Brothers. Tough to navigate, but that would work itself out. Had a little lag in pressing a button but sometimes it would get worse where u would fail. At times the controller would lose connectivity all together, for like 5 seconds at a time. I was close to the TV, so distance was not an issue. Frequent disconnection. 5 seconds makes it useless as if you are in a game, that means failure. I was hoping it would work but doubted it would. Don't waste your money. Mine is in the garbage.

I bought this a few weeks ago and it seemed fine at first for brief periods of playing. Then as i played it the controllers became less responsive and seem to be made very very cheaply and I feel like they could break in my hand if I start playing more intensely like in a boss fight. Moreover, now the controllers often get disconnected during play and I have to turn the controller off and back on to reset the connection. Also a decent number of games don't work. Not all the games but enough to become irritating. Also the console doesnt let you calibrate or configure the buttons which is irritating. Additionally, some of the emulator engines like the PS1 emulator doesnt even run the games properly, it gives you the start menu but freezes when you actually try to start the game.

This was a waste of time. Received the gaming system, set it up. Was so excited to see the system loading. After three hours, game is still loading. After a full day game still loading. Never loaded the games so kids could were very unhappy. No instructions either so I can see a tech challenged person very confused. Overall rating 0. Really wished item was as described.

And it works, as advertised! Took a minute to get hooked up, figured out- but not too long. Definitely has a great selection of games- quite a bit to sift through, and the controllers work as well so far.

What a piece of garbage. This isn't worth the plastic it's made from. Not a single game will run. The menu has massive input lag, and the controller inputs different commands than whats actually issued. 0/5

These games are from, for the most part, home gaming systems, like Atari, Playstation, etc. A lot of them are really low quality - these are not the games you played in an arcade. If you grew up in America, a lot of these games you won't recognize. For the price, I think its fine - kind of nostalgic - but not an arcade experience.
