    • HP needs to put more ink into their cartridges
I own two different HP printers, and each take a different model number for their replacement cartridges. I am getting about 1/3 as much printing done with each of the cartridges as I did a few short years ago. Sad when a company cuts corners on manufacturing their product, but doesn't reflect that change in their pricing. ... show more

After much research I found out why this ink cartridge doesn’t produce nowhere near the amount of colored pages described. For people like me that don’t know much about percentage of color coverage per page and types of paper used (matte, glossy, plain) to the specific ink cartridge purchased one would think we’d get at least 60 color ink pages from the 1 color cartridge. I was printing 80%+ color coverage pages to create customized chip bags and ran out of ink after about 13 full color pages even with photocopying the original print I still ran out of color ink. I found out depending on the type of paper, printer, and the quality you set your print job to and other factors that 13 color page (80 percent coverage of a page or more) for this color cartridge ink is indeed accurate. ... show more

We prefer the HP brand, and though we’d like it to go further... we’ll deal with it. For the most part. The reality is, we have not found any ink that lasts as long as we’d like. But in the end, we do like the HP brand and will stick with it. We mainly only use black ink when printing, but from time to time we do choose a color printing. This week I had to do 4 pages with several pictures on them, including some with very subtle color changes. For example: one picture had a range of 6 blues. This Original HP 65 Tri-color Ink Cartridge handles the job very well and compares extremely favorably with the original image. In the end, we prefer the HP brand and will stick with it, and this Original HP 65 Tri-color Ink Cartridge is doing the job for us. We never think it lasts long enough, but we take what we get, and will keep going with HP. ... show more

    • HP Envy not recognizing new ink cartridge!
My HP Envy 5055 printer is not recognizing this HP 65 color ink cartridge. I've never had this happen! I've tried all the resetting suggestions, cleaned the contacts, etc. to no avail. The old cartridge still works so it's got to be the cartridge and not the printer. Very frustrating and now I'm out almost $20 because I'm way past the return window. ... show more

It's an ink cartridge, so I don't really feel like there is anything spectacular to report. Lol. I ordered this because it is what my printer recommends to use. I am glad I picked it up because Walmart didn't have any when I went in the day this arrived. Needless to say that because I had some projects to get going on and printing, I was glad I purchased them here. I bought this and the black ink cartridge as well, both worked great and were easy to install. I have no complaints because it has worked exactly how it should. ... show more

My only wish for all the ink for printers would be that they cost less! I am buying the larger capacity ink cartridges now due to the fact my child is doing digital school and we are running through ink for print-outs at a rapid rate! I'm having to keep extra cartridges on hand as "just in case-ers". The ink itself is very good. Very readable, Doesn't smear, dries quickly. The lower capacity cartridges may work for some folks, but to pay $18.00 or more for ink to print only 20 pieces of paper is awful on the pocketbook!!! ... show more

I found out that HP ink cartridges are date encoded. After or near the expiration date they stop working whether or not there is ink left in the cartridge. This forces you to buy more ink than you actually use if you are an infrequent user. Off brand cartridges often don't work as they lack certain HP proprietary encoded data. I will never own another HP printer for this reason. That being said; HP ink cartridges work very well and give excellent print quality. ... show more
