I've never had any trouble with these factory HP ink cartridges, which is something I can't say about all (most) aftermarket ink cartridges. While the price for these quality cartridges is fair for the value, I wouldn't consider it a screaming bargain. That said, its a lot cheaper buying these here than in a retail store, so I guess there's that. For black ink, I wouldn't buy any other cartridge but XL size. In my experience, the additional cost of the XL cartridges is way worth it as far as cartridge longevity goes. There's just a lot more ink in the XLs. If you're considering between this product and a cheaper non-HP alternative, I'd recommend you to buy this one. It may be a little more, but it'll be way less headache during those times you absolutely, positively need that printer to spit out a legible copy of whatever, right now. Recommended. ... show more
