    • This is NOT a touchscreen unit. But it’s a Great laptop!
The media could not be loaded. I use this laptop for work-related computing, like creating documents, excel spreadsheets, and the internet. I’m not techie, so I was happy to get the input from my techie friends. I just know what I need. It was budget-friendly (less than $500) and I anticipate to have it last a few years. I got the 2019 school edition of MS Office which is Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, from a different site. I’ve had the Laptop since end of October 2021, and pretty satisfied with my purchase. If you’re looking for a laptop to do work or school-related stuff, this is a great laptop for you. I can’t speak to its functionality for gaming, bc I’m not a gamer =P, but the camera quality is good for zoom calls and even taking pictures. The sound it produces from YouTube or any other music is good. However, (and it could be an internet issue), my zoom calls (while clarity of picture is good), the calls can be glitchy— speed up or freeze — again, I don’t know if that’s a laptop issue or an internet issue, or a zoom issue, but I tend to do zoom calls from my iPhone. This review is not from a gamer or a video clip arranger but from a person that just needed a laptop for mobility purposes. This was my choice because it came with Windows 10 but contrary to the description it was in S mode…no big deal to flip it back to the home edition. I had a few laptops over the years and I will say that this is basic but fast, fast startup and the battery seem to be adequate. Without data on hand I will also say that it has a fast charge up time. The only dislike is the keyboard as it is grey on grey with no backlight so it my be a little hard to see but beside that it accomplishes what it needed for. ... show more

    • Laptop For General Use, BUT it Does NOT Last
This is NOT a touch-screen laptop (not a complaint, just making that clear). Otherwise, it is very similar to an older HP x360 laptop that I also have. It works fine, and it is noticeably lighter than the x360. The SSD is a lot smaller than the x360 HDD, but it meets my needs and it sure boots faster. Two complaints: The screen is not a full HD 1024x768 screen - I knew that (clearly documented), but it is still a bit of an irritant sometimes. Second, they keyboard on this unit is all silver - VERY difficult sometimes to actually read what is on the keys, especially in dim light. And the keys are too smooth. My older x360 has black textured keys that are MUCH better. UPDATE: Here's the real kicker - at 12 months and 1 week, this thing died - totally. And HP wants $400 to fix it! How stupid is that? I am totally done with ever buying any HP product again. ... show more

This laptop is lightweight, fast, and has a really good-quality screen. I am a writer, not a gamer, so this was great right out of the box. Downloads are fast so I already have most of the software I use for writing and publishing. Windows 10S took a few minutes to figure out, but it's no problem. I will re-set it to 10S when all of the software I use had been loaded. I highly recommend this laptop to anyone who, like me, will use it for cruising the internet and for personal projects. ... show more
