Features

  • REDUCE WATERING FREQUENCY - Our bark mulch soil greatly reduces water evaporation and increases moisture retention so tropical houseplants require less watering
  • PLANT ROOT PROTECTION - Mulch serves as insulated shady covering for potting soil stopping plant roots from overheating during the summer; Mulch also helps insulate roots during winter months
  • BEAUTIFUL SOIL COVERING - Add visual consistency to your indoor potted plant garden with house plant mulch while also providing a natural mulch weed cover - chips are longer lasting than coconut coir or shavings
  • Small very fine bark chips make frequent watering a thing of the past - The bark chips are great for water retention and keeping the moisture in!

  • Great addition to potting soil.
Material Type: Orchid Bark Size: 8 Quarts
Good organic bark for the price. I have repurchased this multiple times. I use this as a supplement to my potting soil mix along with s. moss. My plants love it! It’s also a nice look for adding mulch to your outdoor garden beds. It’s chunky but light.

  • Nice Small Nuggets, But Expensive
Material Type: Houseplant Mulch Size: 2 Quarts
Mulch is as described--nice small size making it easy to spread and appropriate for small containers. The price is a bit high for the quantity. Shipping, packaging very good

  • WOW 😮
Material Type: Houseplant Mulch Size: 2 Quarts
I live in IL. Holy smokes, my outdoor plants that have to come into my garage in the fall until spring. They are growing , huge! And I have buds. Nothing dying and standing straight up. To be honest , they look better than they ever have , even in the summer. 100% buy , can’t express enough

  • Exactly as described
Material Type: Pine Bark Mulch Size: 4 Quarts
This came with more than what I needed. I only have like 5 or 6 average sized pots. The bark is doing it’s job and came just as expected. As long as your using it outside there isn’t a big mess and I couldn’t detect any odd smells. I have a lot left but it will come in handy when it comes time to repot my plants as they grow larger or if I decide to just move them into a different home base. ... show more

  • Packing wasn't very secure and the bag is flimsy
Material Type: Orchid Bark Size: 8 Quarts
The media could not be loaded. I bought this for the first time to see how it would fair against another brand I use. I'm sure the bark itself is fine but the other stuff I've used still feels like it has moisture and is a little soft to the touch. This brand on the other hand feels like someone left it outside all season to dry out. I bet it's because the bag tore open in shipping, but now I feel like I have to soak this before use and I can't even store the excess in it's packaging and have to go buy large ziplock bags because of it. Again, I'm sure the bark itself is fine, but now I have to spend close to what I bought this bag for on a storage solution. Be prepared for my situation before you get into it or better yet, buy local instead. ... show more
